I have lived in one of those countries with "free" healthcare. It isn't free. It comes out of your taxes. The doctors are still getting paid and getting paid well. On that note, charge for your services. I have done more work for free than I have for paid. In the end it wasn't fair to me, and it wasn't fair to my children who need me to be able to financial take care of them. Your time and talents are valuable. Charge for them. You deserve it.

I think we have in the back of our minds the little comments that people have made. The random little digs and harsh criticisms. So we become self conscious.
