📚 It’s International Literacy Day!
And I want to hear from our Teachers for Peace teachers. ❤️ Literacy is so much more than being able to read a book. It’s being able to understand the world around you. To communicate. To ask questions. To tell your story. To have a voice. And as teachers, we get to be part of that every single day. So today, let’s fill the comments with ideas from around the world 🌍👇 Teachers — tell us: 📖 What is one book, story or reading activity your students LOVE? ✏️ What is one simple way you encourage reading or writing in your classroom? 🌎 And where in the world are you teaching from? Bonus question… What does literacy mean to YOU? I would love for us to steal some ideas from each other today. 😜 I’ll start! One of my favourite literacy activities is stopping halfway through a story and asking students to predict what happens next. No right or wrong answers — just imagination, speaking and lots of conversation. 📚💭 Teachers, add one of yours below 👇 That’s what this community is for. Happy International Literacy Day from all of us at Teachers for Peace. 🕊️

If you missed our Teachers for Peace New Volunteer Information Meeting, don’t worry — here is the recording! 💙🕊️
We shared who we are, how Teachers for Peace works, what our volunteers do, and how you can get involved in bringing free education and connection to children and communities affected by war and displacement. Whether you are a returning teacher, a brand-new volunteer, or simply curious about our community, we hope this gives you a little glimpse into the heart of Teachers for Peace. 🌍 We are getting ready for a new school year, and we would love to have you with us. ▶️ Watch the meeting here. Together, we teach. Together, we connect. Together, we create peace. 🕊️💙 #TeachersForPeace #VolunteerTeachers #TeachForPeace #EducationForPeace #TeacherCommunity #GlobalEducation

Volunteer with TFP This Year
This school year, you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re craving a meaningful way to use your teaching skills—while being part of a kind, global community—Teachers for Peace is opening the door for new volunteers. Volunteering with TFP can look like: hosting a friendly conversation club, supporting a teaching lab, creating simple classroom materials, helping with community welcome/translation, or sharing ideas that make learning feel safer and more human—especially for teachers and learners affected by war and disruption. Join our Volunteer Info Meeting today: - 5:00 Ukraine, 4:00pm spain https://www.skool.com/live/VMTl6HzQqPg Bring your questions (and your imperfect English is welcome).

📣 Teachers... I need your help!
I've been surrounded by boxes 📦 all week while moving house, and I completely missed our Tuesday and Wednesday calls. 😭 So... next week we're making up for it! ☕ Tuesday, 11th August | 4:00 PM (Madrid) Our Teacher Coffee & Connect is back! But before we meet... 👇 Answer ONE question in the comments: If you could wave a magic wand, what would help you most as a teacher this year? ❤️ Better lesson ideas? 🤖 Learning to use AI? 🌍 Connecting with teachers from around the world? 🎥 Creating your own online course? 💰 Making extra income from your teaching? 🧘 Avoiding burnout? 💬 Something else? There are no wrong answers. I genuinely want to build this community around what YOU need. ⭐ Wednesday – VIP Teacher Hub For our VIP members, we're going one step further. We're building a community that doesn't just help learners... it helps teachers grow too. So here's my question for you... 👇 If we could bring in ONE expert to run a masterclass just for VIP members, who would you choose? What would you love to learn? 🎨 Canva? 🤖 AI? 📱 Social media? 💼 Starting your own academy? 🎤 Public speaking? 🧠 Trauma-informed teaching? 💰 Funding, grants or fundraising? 📚 Something completely different? Drop your ideas below! The Teacher Hub belongs to all of us, and I want to build it around what will help you become the best educator you can be. See you Tuesday! ❤️ Jennifer

Tomorrow: Volunteer Info Meeting (Teachers for Peace) + quick check-in
Back to school season is here, and I know it can feel like a lot. If you’ve been quiet, you’re still very welcome here. Tomorrow (Friday) we’re hosting a short Volunteer Info Meeting for teachers who are curious about volunteering with Teachers for Peace (TFP). I’ll share what volunteering looks like, the kinds of roles we need right now, and you’ll be able to ask questions—no pressure, just information. Quick check-in (reply with a number): 1. I’m interested in volunteering 2. I’m interested but need more info first 3. Not right now, but I want to stay connected If you reply 1 or 2, also tell me: what you teach + your time zone so I can guide you to the best fit.
