You work online, and not getting outside enough?
This is something I have to watch for as someone who works online. Of course, we all know how important movement and walking is for our muscular and circulatory systems, but another factor which was something I hadn’t really understood until recently was the importance of getting fresh air into your lungs. Back in 2017 (or thereabouts) I did a “temple stay” in the mountains of Seoul, in South Korea, and there I learned that monks wake up early to meditate. They walk around in natural settings (usually paths through trees) in silence. I didn’t realize back then that this wasn’t just a conscious habit of moving one foot in front of the other. It was also the practice of breathing outside air, and filling the lungs with fresh oxygen. For anyone here who also practices yoga, you’ll know that backbends and upper back twists help with the movement of oxygen in the upper body, and this in turn promotes positive feelings and is especially helpful for people who suffer with low mood or depression. So what’s the lesson of the story? Walk outside as early as possible, and try to designate natural places where you can enjoy cleaner air. Get that oxygen moving around your body early in the day, and observe the changes in your emotional state. Share with someone who needs this, and see the link below for the full livestream. Tasha~

Putting yourself LAST?
Anyone here guilty of putting yourself on the backburner? In my mid to late thirties, I was eager to prove myself at my new-ish job as our company expanded, and meanwhile, I completely forgot about me. I had to visit a hospital to get extensive tests done to figure out why I was shattered every day. It turned out to be really low levels of vitamin C (and D), and it helped me realize that 1, supplements are vital, and 2, I had to pay attention to my health. It’s all well and good if I’m doing great at work, BUT if I physically can’t keep up? No matter if we think our career, our family, etc. comes before health… well, what happens when our body breaks down? We cannot work. Our family have to support us, and we can become a burden to them? So, there was my lesson. It’s my responsibility to maintain my ‘temple,’ my health. Family and career benefit when I show up with vitality, focus, and strength. Share with someone you love. 🍃 Link to complete conversation in the comments. Tasha~
