Is It Possible To Get Wealthy On Skool?
My research started when I asked myself, "What's the real reason people are lowering prices or going free on Skool." Why is everyone devaluing their communities? Make sure you read the whole thing. The average MRR for a paid Skool community is roughly $1,000 - $5,000 MRR. What “average MRR on Skool” actually means The term average is tricky because Skool communities vary wildly in size, pricing, and whether they include coaching. But across the most credible public datasets: - Median paid Skool community: $1k - $5k MRR - Most common plateau: $5k MRR (120 - 260 members, priced $19 - $39/mo) - Top decile: $20k - $100k+ MRR (almost always coaching-led) - Extreme outliers: $200k - $1M+ MRR (0.1% of communities; founders already had large businesses) Most paid Skool communities sit between $1k and $5k MRR, with $5k being the most common plateau. Why the average is low Three structural factors keep most communities in the $1k - $5k range: - Churn floor: 6 - 9% monthly churn for content-only communities caps growth. - Pricing bands: Most communities charge $9 - $49/mo, which requires high volume to scale. - Offer structure: Communities without coaching or cohort programs rarely break past $5k MRR. If you want to exceed the average The data shows that communities that break past $15k - $50k MRR almost always add: - A coaching layer - Cohort-based programs - A higher-ticket upsell - Retention systems that drop churn below 5% Based on operators who've shared real numbers. First 90 days: most paid Skool communities make $0 - $2k MRR. Half don't cross $1k MRR ever. Established (6 - 18 months): typical range $2k - $15k MRR. Scaling (18+ months): $15k - $50k MRR for the operators who got the offer right, dropped churn, and built a small audience. Top decile: $50k - $200k MRR, almost always coaching-led with a known founder, a paid ads engine, and a real team behind the scenes. The viral $1M Skool community screenshots exist but they represent maybe 0.1% of paid groups. Most of those operators were already doing $1M elsewhere before they moved to Skool.

So much great information in this post. Thanks for researching this all out. I agree across the board. There are people making good money on the platform but only when they are meeting certain criteria.

@Enoch Adebisi agreed! Learn as much as you can and then apply it to your own group. 😀
🌀 Your Skool Has Entered a Strange Time Loop…
Monday: “I need more members.” Tuesday: “I need more engagement.” Wednesday: “Maybe I should change my offer.” Thursday: “Perhaps I need another course…” Friday: “WHY ISN'T THIS THING GROWING?!” 😵‍💫 Then Monday arrives... and you do it all over again. Very timey-wimey. Not particularly good for growth. 😂 Fortunately, you don't need a blue police box or two hearts to escape the loop. Inside, Skool Growth Lab we help Skool owners figure out what's actually holding their community back—and give them tools to do something about it. 🔬 Analyze your niche & positioning 🧲 Improve your About page & offer ✍️ Create better content 💬 Increase member engagement 📊 Learn what your members actually want 💰 Improve monetization 🤝 Find collaborations 📈 Figure out your next growth move Because randomly changing your Skool every week isn't a strategy. It's just... regenerating. 😉 So before you travel back in time and rebuild your community for the 11th time... Come join us inside Skool Growth Lab. 🧪 Build. Experiment. Learn. Grow. All of time and space is waiting.

It Really Doesn't Take That Much to Grow Your Skool. 🧪
If you know how other groups are succeeding. After studying successful Skool communities week after week, I started seeing the same patterns over and over again. The groups were different. Different niches. Different prices. Different audiences. Different sizes. But underneath, many of them were doing the same simple things right. So I pulled the biggest lessons together into: 🔬 25 Lessons From Successful Skool Groups Things like: → How they consistently attract new members → What gets members participating → Why people stick around → How they structure their offers → What they do differently with their Classroom → How they turn content into traffic → How free communities lead to paid offers → Why some groups become communities while others become ghost towns Each lesson is short, easy to understand, and actionable — with a simple Lab Experiment you can try in your own group. You don't need another 47-step growth strategy. You probably just need to figure out which of these things you're missing. They're all inside Skool Growth Lab, along with the Community Breakdowns that helped uncover them. 🧪 Learn what successful groups are doing. Test it in yours. Grow your Skool community.

I’ve Been Researching How Successful Groups Grow...
Every week inside Skool Growth Lab, I pick a successful Skool community and take it apart piece by piece. 🔬 Where is their traffic coming from? 🎯 How are they positioned? 💰 What are they selling—and how? 🚪 What does their funnel look like? 💬 How do they keep members engaged? 🔄 Why would someone keep paying month after month? 🎥 How are they using YouTube or other platforms? 👥 What kind of community culture have they created? ⚠️ And even when they're successful... where are they weak? Because the point isn't to look at a big community and say: “Wow. They have a lot of members.” The interesting question is: What are they doing that YOU could actually apply to your own group? Each community breakdown ends with practical lessons you can take back to your own group—whether you have 5 members or 5,000. And after studying enough communities, something even more interesting starts happening... Patterns emerge. The same growth principles start showing up across completely different niches. 🧪 That's what we're really looking for inside the Lab. Not communities to copy. Clues about what works. Then we take those clues, run our own experiments, and see what happens. 🔬 Study what works. Test it on your Skool. Grow your group! Check it out today at Skool Growth Lab.
