2 songs - both amazing
Serious question, HOW DO YOU DECIDE between 2 songs, that both sound amazing and you would have loved to keep both, but you can only pick one, coz its weird if you drop the same song sung differently. Im sure everyone has been hit by this feeling.

Assuming you create the tracks in advance, something that works for me is to ignore the two best versions and focus on the others (if there are any), or do something else entirely. I go back to listening to them the following week. This way, I can be more discerning, since I’m no longer in the creative "flow."

YouTube / DistroKid payments: still radio silence…
Hey team 👋 Still no concrete news about July’s YouTube royalties through DistroKid. I’ve been looking for updates, but I can’t find anything clear. No proper explanation from either side, no YouTuber covering it that I’ve seen, and mostly speculation on Reddit… Honestly, this lack of communication isn’t normal. We should at least know what’s causing the delay and what to expect. On top of that, my views are dropping. Between the delayed payments and declining views, it’s been pretty tough to stay positive lately. I’m still putting in the work, but I won’t lie—it’s getting to me. How’s everyone else doing? Are you still waiting for July’s payments too? How are your views holding up? Hopefully @Jesse Hull or @Mark Draijer will have some news to share soon. Even a small, concrete update would help 🙏

@Charles Owens This script masters WAV files in a folder using FFmpeg: high-pass filter, loudness normalization, and a limiter. Results land in a new folder called `Mastered_Distribution` . Prerequisites (both macOS and Windows) 1. Install Python 3. 2. Install FFmpeg and make sure it's on your system PATH. - macOS: `brew install ffmpeg` - Windows: download FFmpeg from the official site, then add it to your System Environment Variables PATH. On macOS: 1. Open Terminal. 2. "cd" into the folder where "convert_to_distribution.py" (this file's name) lives: cd /path/to/script-folder 3. Run the script, passing the folder with your .wav files as an argument: python3 convert_to_distribution.py /path/to/your/audio-folder On Windows: 1. Open Command Prompt or PowerShell. 2. `cd` into the folder where `convert_to_distribution.py` lives: cd C:\path\to\script-folder 3. Run the script, passing the folder with your `.wav` files as an argument: python convert_to_distribution.py C:\path\to\your\audio-folder A practical alternative if you pay for Claude or ChatGPT: Download Claude Code or Codex (ChatGPT) and ask it to run this script.

Prompts and Lyrics
I personally think that Claude makes better lyrics and ChatGPT makes better prompts. I have been using Claude a lot more now. What do you all think?

90% I use Claude skills that I made myself. The rest is me and my personal taste.
