A couple nights ago, I organized a little dinner here in Barcelona for folks who run online businesses or who do digital marketing. Two of the people who came are members of this group. The dinner was nice — food was had, drinks were cautiously drunk, conversation was exchanged. The consensus was something like, "It's great to meet like this because I don't know many people in real life who do what I do, and nobody else gets it" I'm planning on organizing a dinner like this again, most likely next month. Really happy to find this group. About me: 1. What brings you to Barcelona: 4 years ago I was nomading around the world and I got really sick of it. Barcelona seemed like the only place I'd want to settle down for, and so here I am. 2. Why did you join this community: I'm in Barcelona and I'm looking to get connected IRL to other people who have communities/email lists/audiences. A couple times this year I organized dinners for people who have businesses in the online business/marketing space, and I'd like to do more of them. One is called Daily Email House and it's about email marketing, specifically about the practice of sending daily emails as a way of making a lot of money from a small audience. The other group is called Monetization Mastermind, and it's an invite-only group of people who have sizeable businesses built on the back of an email list (think course sellers, coaches, etc.).
