Had to run out to the job early this morning and needed something quick. I’m also going into a nursing home, so I didn’t want anything too loud, heavy, or challenging. It’s starting to get a little chilly here in Arizona in the early mornings, so today was one of those dumb-reach days. I went with Polo 67 EDP. I own the other versions in the Polo 67 line, and today I basically decided to sit right in the middle. The EDP gives me a little more body and presence than the EDT without pushing things too far. Clean, modern, masculine and easy to wear exactly what I needed when I didn’t have time to stand in front of the collection debating what to put on. Sometimes the best SOTD isn’t the most complicated fragrance you own. It’s the one you can grab, spray and know it’s going to work. Polo 67 EDP was that fragrance for me this morning. Performance-wise, Polo 67 EDP gives me around 7-9 hours of longevity, with good projection for the first 1½-2 hours before settling into a noticeable scent bubble. Sillage stays moderate, which is exactly what I wanted today—enough presence to smell good without filling up the room, especially going into a nursing home.

Perfect choice for right after the rain. Wild Vetiver has this crisp, green, almost freshly washed feel bright citrus and pepper up top, a slightly fruity floral heart, then that clean earthy vetiver and cedar underneath. The moisture in the air just seems to bring the green side of this one alive. Fresh without being boring and polished without smelling overly dressed up. Performance: I’m getting around 8-10 hours of longevity, with very good projection early and a noticeable scent trail for the first couple of hours. This may be one of Creed’s better-performing fresh releases in quite a while. After-the-rain scent done right.

Well, today is national coffee day. It would be a great day to grab Amore Caffè or something similar, if the temps weren't reaching the 90s. What are some of your favorite coffee-centric fragrances?

The more perfumes I’ve sampled lately, the harder it’s become to decide which one to pick. Some smell great at first but lose their appeal after an hour or two, while others seem ordinary initially but have a dry-down that’s absolutely addictive. I’m currently interested in woody, amber, or leather notes, or perhaps something clean and natural; I tend to dislike scents that are overpowering or too aggressive right off the bat. If you also enjoy researching perfumes, feel free to message me and recommend a few that you've actually used and think are worth trying. Both unisex and feminine fragrances are fine; I'd rather hear genuine user experiences than rankings

Apparently I've been working my way through the Dior Homme line lately, more by coincidence than design. I've recently sampled Dior Homme, Dior Homme Cologne, and today's SOTD is Dior Homme Intense (2025). This one isn't really auditioning for the collection. I've already bought a bottle, so today's mission is simply to continue to finish off the travel spray and clear another sample out of the box. And I'm quite happy with the purchase. That powdery iris is the star for me, surrounded by woods and a subtle sweetness that gives the fragrance richness without making it overly heavy. It's smooth, elegant, and sophisticated—the kind of fragrance that doesn't need huge projection to make an impression. I probably wouldn't reach for Homme Intense during the blazing heat of summer, but during the other three seasons, I can see plenty of opportunities to wear it. Fall in particular seems like its natural habitat. The more Dior Homme fragrances I sample, the more I'm appreciating just how different the various interpretations can be. Current status: Sample being finished. Full bottle already secured—and very happy to have it.
