My new feature film, The Dummy Detective, is the victim of a scam on Imdb - the international database for films of all kinds. Anyone can rate any movie listed on Imdb and recently scammers have bombarded my film's listing with low ratings. This has quickly lowered my film's aggregate score from about 8.5/10 down to 4.3/10. Shortly after I noticed this sudden drop in the score I received several emails and text messages from unknown people who said that they noticed my low score on Imdb and that they will "fix" my score if I pay them a fee. Other indie filmmakers have been victimized by this scam as well. The scammers target small indie films like mine because we get far fewer ratings than big studio-produced films, so the scammers' review bombing has a much greater impact. I complained to Imdb and they replied that they can't do anything to help me. If you have watched The Dummy Detective please rate it on Imdb. Rate it honestly please. I need a lot more honest ratings which I'm sure will help raise my film's aggregate score - at least SOMEWHAT mitigating the damage that has been caused by the scammers. I've always been right handed. I was performing at a convention one year and John Kimmons said to me he never realised I was left handed. Probably because I'm not lol. But it turns out, Oliver along with a selected few, feel more natural on my left hand whereas other characters only feel natural on my right. The wing commander was originally meant for my right arm but I started getting tennis elbow so I'm relearning with my left. Is anyone else like this or am I just odd? Lol
