Welcome Carmen! Great group of builders in here, plenty of good threads to dig through in Ask The Coaches once you're ready to start your own build.
Security and Scalability
My app is complete, and I've beta tested with a few people. I have a few people who are paying for it as well. My concern, it can scale pretty quick pretty fast. I built everything via lovable and how do i know that its 100% secure and can hold the volume that I'm projection will use it. Should i have someone test the security of it?

Yes, get an outside review before you scale further, especially since you already have paying customers - that raises the stakes on a breach. Lovable/Supabase apps most commonly get burned by open Row Level Security policies and exposed API keys in the frontend, so at minimum check those two before anything else. A freelance pentester on Upwork for a scoped review is usually cheap relative to the risk.
lovable
Anyone else notice it is taking alot more credits to build anything in lovable now? I wish I had never started using Lovable. They're trying to make people pay more and more. I couldn't even change my icon now without using up credits to do it when I wanted to publish. What is a better more affordable platform to use instead?

This is a real pain point across most of these AI builders right now, not just Lovable. One thing that helps is batching small tweaks (icon, copy, colors) into a single prompt instead of publishing after each tiny change, since every publish/rebuild cycle burns credits. Worth testing Bolt or Replit's agent too if you want to compare pricing before committing to a switch.
Launched a new app today!
I launched a brand new app today for doodle dog owners! It's my second software I've launched. The first one was built in Lovable. This one is built in OverSkill. I used MakerAI for the prompts to put into OverSkill just like you would Lovable. I built the sales funnel in Clickfunnels. Really excited to grow this software!

Congrats on the second launch! Curious what pushed you to OverSkill over sticking with Lovable this time - is it a cost thing or did it fit the doodle dog app better on the build side?
The part of building AI software nobody talks about enough
Everyone talks about how easy it is to build an app with AI now. But building the app is often not the hardest part. The harder questions are: - What should you actually build? - Is anyone willing to pay for it? - How do you validate the idea before spending weeks on it? - How do you turn a working prototype into something people keep using? - How do you keep track of the endless little tasks once development starts? That’s why I’m starting to think the real advantage of AI isn’t simply “AI can code.” It’s being able to build a complete workflow around an idea. For example: Research → validate → build → organize → launch → collect feedback → improve For the build side, tools like Lovable and Claude Code can handle a lot of the implementation. Then something like Floment can be useful for keeping the projects, to-dos, progress, and day-to-day execution organized in the same overall workflow. You don’t need to start with some massive SaaS idea either. A small tool that solves one annoying problem for a specific group of people can be a much better starting point. Curious what everyone here thinks, if you could build one tiny piece of software for a problem you personally deal with, what would you build?

This is the real bottleneck now. When the code is basically free to produce, the scarce skill shifts to judgment - knowing what's worth building and validating demand before you sink weeks in. The workflow framing (research, validate, build, organize, launch, feedback, improve) is a much better mental model than "just build it and see."
