Hi guys , please listen my AUDIO explanation ( tell me if you don't understand me ) . Cévennes= mountains / Ardèche = region / Chassesac= river The La Rouvière - Les Issarts site in Sainte-Marguerite-Lafigère is a historic mining complex in the Chassezac valley. Mining activity began there as early as the 1st century AD and reached its peak between 1887 and 1908, focusing on the extraction of silver, lead, and zinc. To process the ore, a major industrial facility was built, including a dam, an ore treatment plant, and aerial ropeways to transport materials. Today, the mine is closed and the galleries are sealed for safety, but its ruins remain a unique historic landmark of the region's industrial past.
