Maybe percentiles could be used to compare ratings?
A chess.com rapid rating achievement of 3000 would be statistically way more unusual than the extremely impressive chess.com bullet/blitz rating achievement of 3000. Maybe percentiles could be used to compare different chess.com ratings themselves.
