Behind-the-scenes sneak peek 🍂
Here's a little look at what I'm working on in Photoshop today. These are just some of the parts: the little autumn birds, the berries and a few pretty pieces I've been playing with. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗔𝗚. If you haven't made one before, a loaded tag is a journal tag layered up with lovely bits like papers, clipart, ribbon and a little quote, so it's a mini piece of art you can tuck into your junk journal or sketchbook. I'm not showing you the whole thing yet... keep an eye out, it's coming very soon! 🐦 The finished loaded tag will be going into the Printables Vault for premium members. You can upgrade or check out the plans here: https://www.skool.com/draw/plans

Oh goodie!!! Can't wait to see them @Helen Aldous
Daily Page: Day 20
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱. Whichever hand you never use. Anything will do, the teapot, the cat, your own foot. It will come out wobbly and a bit mad, and that is entirely the point. Nobody is good with their wrong hand, so there's nothing to be bad at today 💛 ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Do it again with your eyes closed as well, then compare the two. 👉 Also in the classroom here: ❤️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 👇 The whole page, a tiny piece of it, or just type "done" if you're not ready to show it ❤️ ❤️ All count. Whenever you get to it, morning, teatime or midnight.

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲 ✨ 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁: 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁. Your shopping list, somebody's name, a line off the radio, what the weather's doing. Your own handwriting is exactly right, no fancy lettering needed. Then go over a few letters twice, or box one in, so it looks like it's meant to be there. ✨ 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁? Draw something small around the words. A border, a leaf coming off the L, whatever you fancy.

I started with the blank page, then drew the word then the rest followed. I was reminded of Psalm 1 that talks about being "like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither. Whatever he does prospers." The word is meaningful to me because I learned about its original biblical meaning that has so much depth!

Your Sunday watch ☕📺 Nishant Jain
Starting and finishing a sketch with Nishant Jain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8hbG1FBDqU Since today's daily page is all about drawing people in your sketchbook, I wanted to share an artist I've really been getting into lately. Nishant Jain, who calls himself the Sneaky Artist, fills little pocket sketchbooks with crowds, train carriages and cafe scenes, mostly with just a Lamy fountain pen. His drawings are so simple and so full of life. In this video he chats with Maria Coryell-Martin from Art Toolkit about how he got started, then draws along live from a couple of photos. Make a cup of something warm and settle in, it's a lovely one for a Sunday. - - - - - 🖋️ 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 ✏️ He started out making comics with stick figures because he "really didn't know how to draw." He never planned to be an artist, he calls himself one "just out of curiosity." 📖 He draws with a pen he can't erase, on purpose. When a drawing doesn't turn out the way he pictured, "the solution is to turn the page and make another drawing." 💛 "The joy you get from drawing is totally separate from whether it was a good drawing or not." 〰️ He draws people with long, flowing lines, and says "long lines are your handwriting." Whether your line wobbles or bends a little, "nobody else would draw it like you." 🔑 And on giving yourself a go at all: "permission is the golden word." 🚶 If you ever fancy sketching people out and about, he says "crowded places are a gift," because everyone is far too busy with their own day to notice what you're doing. - - - - - 👀 Keep watching for the last drawing, the busy commuter train. He picks one person to start from and gives them the most attention, then lets everyone around them become just a few simple lines. Such a freeing idea for today's daily page. You don't have to give every person the same care, and a handful of lines can be enough to say someone was there.
