Let me tell you the mistake most men make on arm day.
They go too heavy on biceps and too light on triceps. Or they do the opposite. Either way they're leaving size on the table, and they don't even know why their arms aren't growing. Here's what I've learned. Your triceps make up about two thirds of your arm. Two thirds. Which means if your arms aren't where you want them, the answer is almost always your triceps, not your biceps. Most men obsess over curls and ignore the back of the arm completely. Or they do a couple of half-hearted pushdowns at the end of the session and call it a day. That's not training triceps. That's going through the motions. For me, arm training is about isolation and connection above everything else. On biceps I want to feel the stretch at the bottom and the peak contraction at the top on every single rep. On triceps I want to feel that hinge, the elbow locked, the forearm moving, nothing else. Four to six sets. Twelve to sixteen reps minimum. Slow on the way down. Full connection throughout. That's how you build arms that actually look built, at any age. What does your arm training look like right now, are you spending more time on biceps or triceps, and do you think the split is costing you size? Drop it below. 👇

I am very balanced in bicep and tricep work. But always a good reminder to slow the move down and feel it. Thanks keith.
Try me
So not to many takers on the Kale salad post so here is another try. This recipe is super easy, super delicious and really good for you. I eat it on my eggs for breakfast or as a salad topping. They freeze great and if you follow the recipe work every time. Hope you enjoy. https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/best-black-bean-burgers/
Shoulders are the most vulnerable joint in the gym for men over 40.
And most men are destroying them without even realising it. The barbell press behind the neck. The machine press that locks you into one fixed path. Snatching the weight up without controlling the eccentric. Going too heavy and losing the ability to feel what you're actually supposed to be training. I've had shoulder issues. I know exactly what it costs to ignore the signals your body is sending you in that joint. And I'll tell you right now, no rep is worth a rotator cuff tear. Here's how I approach shoulder training. Dumbbells only. Thumbs on the outside, weight sitting on my hand like a shelf, not gripped tight. I position the dumbbell out slightly at an angle so I'm not locked in behind my head the way a barbell forces you to be. That alone takes the stress off the shoulder joint and lets me actually engage the muscle I'm trying to build. I start at 10 pounds. Walk my way up the rack. First set is 16 to 18 reps, just getting the blood in there, getting locked in, finding that zone. I don't lock out at the top. I control the weight on the way down just as hard as I push it on the way up. By the time I'm four sets in I've got a pump in my shoulders that proves heavier weight was never the point. Take care of your shoulders now. The men who respect this joint at 50 are the ones still training hard at 70. How are your shoulders holding up, and have you had to change your training around them? Drop it below. 👇

Thanks for that Keith. I'm having so much more success and so little pain after implementing your technique. 💪
LOL
I think it's hilarious that alan ritchson is posting videos about lifting lower weight and higher reps, and that's what Keith has been offer for ever. Guess alan found Keith's videos and took the advise.
