🎉 SKOOL NEXUS IS TURNING ONE! 🎉
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿! One year of community owners connecting, sharing ideas, collaborating, supporting each other and figuring this community-building thing out together. When I started Skool Nexus, I wanted to create a place where community owners could connect with people who get it — without the pressure to constantly perform or sell. And here we are… ONE YEAR LATER. ❤️ 𝙎𝙤 𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙉𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙨 𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝! 🥳 Throughout the month we'll be celebrating YOU the people who have helped make Nexus what it is. We'll be looking back at what we've created, sharing some of the lessons I've learned along the way, talking about what's coming in Year 2, and yes… there may be a few surprises along the way. 👀 But let's start with YOU. 👇 What is one thing you've gained from being part of Skool Nexus? A connection? An idea? A collaboration? A lesson? A little more confidence? Tell me below. I'd love to hear it. 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘂𝘀. SOCIAL SATURDAY: What do you want more eyes on? 👀
Saturday is your chance to put something you've created in front of the Nexus community. It doesn't have to be your Skool community. Maybe you want more: 🎥 Views on a YouTube video 📸 Engagement on an Instagram post 💼 Eyes on a LinkedIn post 📝 Readers for a blog or newsletter 🌐 Traffic to your website 👥 Members for your Skool community ❤️ Engagement on a Facebook post 📣 Visibility for an offer, event or freebie 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. But here's the important part: 👉 Don't just drop a link. Tell us what you want from us. For example: 👀 “I'd love some feedback on this.” 💬 “I'd really like more conversation on this post.” 🎥 “I'd love some views on my new video.” 🔎 “I'm looking for people to check out my website.” Then go and give 3 other members some genuine attention too. Watch. Read. Comment. Give feedback. Share your thoughts. Because this isn't follow-for-follow. It's about getting your work in front of real people who might actually care about it. ❤️ 👇 What do you want more eyes on this Saturday?

On that note, I have about 40% of my BloomingVoices Streaming TV community that isn't yet my ideal client. Some might turn into ideal clients and not sure whether, and is so, how to engage them while still staying focused on my ideal clients who are there, both current paid members, who are actually less active. Maybe I could do a whole post about this question @Lisa Viviers ??

@Lisa Viviers thank you so much!! Will turn into a post this week.
Skool Nexus is going public — for a trial period!
After reading your feedback and looking at the poll results, I’ve decided to take Nexus public from now until the end of October and see how it goes. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: Being public becomes a window into our community. 👀 People who discover us through Skool, Google or elsewhere will be able to get a feel for what Nexus is about, see our conversations and discover the amazing people and communities inside. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 🔐 The Classrooms will remain private. They will still require Level 1 community membership to access, with Start Here and the Opportunity Hub being the exception. So we're not opening up everything. We're creating a public window into Nexus while keeping the deeper resources, trainings and member areas behind the community door. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻… Now that we're public, what we post matters even more. I don't want us to change who we are quite the opposite. I want people looking in from the outside to see the culture of Nexus. ✨ Helpful posts ✨ Genuine conversations ✨ Valuable insights ✨ Real connections ✨ People supporting each other ✨ Communities sharing what they're building without turning every post into a sales pitch. Let's show people what makes Nexus different. So please don't drop the quality of your posts just because we're public. If anything, let's raise the bar. Every post is now a little glimpse into who we are and how we show up for each other. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹: 👀 Does public visibility bring more people into Nexus? 🔎 Does it increase discoverability? 🤝 Does it create more opportunities for our members? 💬 Does the community experience change in any way? 📈 And ultimately does being public add value to Nexus? We'll give it a proper test through the end of October and then review what we've learned before deciding what happens next. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙙. ❤️ Now let's open the window and show people what Skool Nexus is really about.

Great idea to do a trial! It can also help members who post have that go out to Google. One difference I've seen is that people who come in through a Google link may come right into the community and not see the about page.

Which I think means more intentionally sharing the about page.
🧲 Inbound Marketing #4
Create Paths, Not Pitches If inbound marketing is about attracting rather than chasing, being useful before being persuasive, and allowing trust to develop over time, an obvious question eventually appears: "When do we sell something?" It is an important question. Because there is a peculiar mistake people sometimes make when they embrace value-first marketing. They become so determined not to be pushy that they become almost impossible to buy from. They write useful articles. They answer questions. They publish videos. They participate in communities. They give away resources. They become known as generous and knowledgeable people. But they never clearly tell anyone: "I can help you with this." Inbound marketing does not mean hiding your business. The objective is not to eliminate selling. It is to change the nature of the invitation. There Should Be a "Next Step". Imagine walking into a museum. You enjoy the exhibits and eventually decide you would like to learn more about one particular subject. So you look for another room. There is no sign. No map. No doorway. No information desk. You wander around for a while and eventually leave. That would be a strange way to operate a museum. Yet businesses do something similar all the time. Someone reads a useful article and reaches the end. Nothing. They watch a video. Nothing. They discover a helpful social media post. Nothing. They think: "I like the way this person explains things." But there is no obvious way to discover what else that person offers. The marketer was so concerned about appearing promotional that they forgot to provide a path. A Path Is Different From a Push Suppose you have just written an article about a problem your audience frequently encounters. At the end, you could say: "BOOK A CALL NOW! ONLY THREE SPOTS REMAIN!" That is certainly a call to action. Or you might say: "If this is something you are working through yourself, I have several other resources on the subject. You are welcome to explore them here." That is also a call to action.
