Friday Power Hour sessions are my favorite. They keep me accountable to wake up and get ready for the day. They also give me a good 2 hour run of productivity before my brain starts malfunctioning and going into weekend mode. Today I spent the first 25 min pomodoro sprint looking for my phone, as it turns out I left it in my friends car after our morning hike. It must have been a long drive because I had my roommate call my phone about 7 times, my friend said she could hear it buzzing on her way to work. Currently we are communicating through messages I can read and respond to on my laptop😅. So NOW I'm going to be EXTRA productive. I’ve spent the last few weeks planning and preparing for The Entrepreneur Sandbox, and ironically also going through the creative recovery process myself! I’ll be honest, starting this program doesn’t make sense in any official financial business plan. There’s no cost for clients, there’s a no-pressure, opt-in sales path towards working with me further, and there’s a very high probability that few people will engage, post, and follow along in The Artist’s Way this first round. ⚙️ So why would I do it then? ⚙️ Because I’ve been through my own PATH2Profit ™️ Genius Business Plan. I know my areas of Working Genius, Frustrations, and Competencies. I know my Money Archetype (thanks to @Andrea Drici ). I know my team, and I know my clients. I’ve identified that what I ✨actually✨ want for my own business and life is simply bringing order to someone else’s chaos. Supporting an entrepreneur that is feeling burned out, ashamed, or desperate for a listening ear. So if there are only 3 of us going through The Entrepreneur Sandbox this Fall, that’s 3 people who can now recover and discover a powerful part of themselves hidden long ago. Most of us did not become entrepreneurs because we wanted to run a business. We became entrepreneurs because we had something in us that needed to be created, a problem in the world we wanted to solve, and building a business was our solution. But somewhere along the way, in the business of running a business, a lot of us lost touch with that creative part of us. The version of you that built this thing in the first place, the curious, playful, honest creative self, often goes quiet once the business starts running on deadlines, invoices, and other people's expectations. And when that creative self goes quiet, the business built on top of it can start to feel misaligned, even when it is technically working. 👉 Starting in September, we are opening a new twelve week journey inside Genius Business Studio called the Entrepreneur Sandbox. Its foundation is built on Julia Cameron's classic book The Artist's Way, and we will journey together as we reconnect with our creative selves underneath the business. 👉 Before Week One, we will be hosting some intro WorkLabs so you can meet everyone, ask questions, and get oriented before the twelve weeks begin. [And why we're so dedicated to helping our members tailor their time to the way they work best!] Something’s been on my mind, and I hope you'll take 3 minutes and read to the end. It’s time we talk about time, and how it actually works in Entrepreneurland. ⏱️ Time is an abstract concept, so let’s start with the basics. Despite what your kindergarten teacher told you, time is not the clock on the wall, or number on your watch, or the setting sun. ⏱️ Time is a currency, just like cash. Currencies need a container to hold them, and boundaries to guide them to where they can be most useful for our growth. If you don't have containers for your time, or a purpose to guide your productivity, you may feel some chaos and squirrels running around in your brain. ⏱️ Time can be used for our greatest joys, and wasted on something that doesn’t even matter to us. Time can be our prison, or it can be our platform. ⏱️ Time as a currency is not much different than money, and it holds far more power in our lives than we think! 88% of my own time with entrepreneur clients is spent talking about strategies to increase their time and energy so they can have more freedom in their businesses. ⏱️ Time is the one non-renewable resource. The one resource that is evenly distributed amongst all living creations on our planet. Dogs, horses, trees, flowers, and ants all have the same 24 hour day. Yet most people still don’t understand how to leverage it to get more of what they want in life, and less of what they don’t want.
