As the last part of my Nature Journal Educator certification, I am doing a stewardship project where we will be doing a virtual adult nature journal meetup once a month with a specific nature journal prompt for the month which will likely be seasonal. The goal is to introduce more folks to nature journaling and share our discoveries through both the prompt and any other journaling time participants have done. The meet up would be virtual and be from 830PM to 930PM during the first full week of the month! For October, we would be looking to meet either next week or the following week to get some journal time this month. Please indicate your day preference!

We will be reading up to Topke Gola for next week and continuing to explore a botanical for our outside activity. Feel free to do this in whatever manner you're most comfortable (drawing, writing, photographing or other).

Today I explored a Common Zinnia for part of our botanical expedition for our Wander and Wonder Botanical Challenge. I learned that they are composite flowers with three arrangements: single, semi double and fully double. I then went on the hunt in my garden to see if I had all three arrangements and if the colors indicated it the arrangement type.
