What is your purpose? This simple question can transform your life from being emotion-oriented to goal-oriented. When you're thirsty, do you reach for the momentary pleasure of a Pepsi or the long-term benefit of warm water? What are you going to choose for your Purpose? If you don't have a purpose, you allow your emotion to lift you, of course, if something sweet is always great, okay, Pepsi, I will take it right away, right? You know, if you say, okay, I want to live 120 happy, traveling, seeing the world, seeing my children, my grandchildren, my great grandchildren, at their wedding parties, if that is the purpose. Now decide to have water. There's a ice water and then warm water. Now you can choose well, ice water would give me such a nice feeling now, but warm water is better for my digestive system that will help me to live longer. So I decide to choose a warm water to drink immediately you change yourself from emotion oriented person into goal oriented person. Your purpose is your guide. When you feel shame, guilt, or self-criticism, your purpose helps you make choices that serve your long-term wellbeing. It could be a goal to live a happy, healthy life, mend a relationship, or simply find peace. Choosing your purpose over a fleeting emotional reaction is a practice in self-love and a powerful step toward healing. It allows you to let go, little by little, and build a life that truly nurtures you. What is one purpose you are focusing on in your life right now? Share it with us in the comments.
