BORROW vs. LEND
These two words can be confusing! 👉 BORROW = receive something temporarily "Can I borrow your pen?" 👉 LEND = give something temporarily "Can you lend me your pen?" Here's an easy way to remember: - I borrow FROM you. - You lend TO me. Fill in the blank: I forgot my phone. Can I _____ yours? A) borrow B) lend 👇 Answer below!

@Radha Rani Excellent understanding and use. Remember your question mark at the end of every question. "Can I borrow yours?"
SUNDAY REFLECTION
Before we begin another week... What is something you learned this week? It doesn't have to be English! Maybe you learned something about: - the world - work - people - English - yourself 👇 Share something new you learned this week.

@Radha Rani It's great to see that you've learned different things this week. We do use the phrase "shrugged his/her/their shoulders" as it is an expression used with people:)

@Radha Rani You have been doing an amazing job summarising your book. A few language points to review: When we list things in English a good tip is to list three things using parallel structure. You wrote: "He also said that allowing the fear and desire to control their lives, never exploring their dreams, working hard for money and thinking that buying things with this money would make them happy, and thinking that a job makes someone secure is also cruel, and it is a trap." You could break this into two clear parts: He also said that allowing the fear and desire to control their lives, working hard for money and thinking that buying things would make them happy. In addition, he said thinking that a job makes someone secure is also cruel. I also think you meant to say "ruin" your lives, not "run". Remember that a summary doesn't have to have all of the details. Try and focus on a few main points. You shared a lot for only two pages of reading! Sometimes choosing the most important points can be a challenge. Keep up the great work!
Your Perfect Saturday
No studying required for this question! 😄 Imagine you have a completely free Saturday. No work. No school. No responsibilities. ☀️ What would you do? 👇 Describe your perfect Saturday in English. Then see if anyone else has the same idea!

@Radha Rani Your perfect Saturday has a good balance of different things. One small language tip is "work" is an uncountable noun. You can say: "Finishing all personal and household work at my own pace is important." We also use the word "chores" for things we do around our homes. This is a countable noun. "Finishing all household chores at my own pace is important." I hope you had a perfect Saturday!
YOUR WIN OF THE WEEK
It's time to celebrate! 🎉 Think about everything you did with English this week. Now choose ONE moment you're proud of. Maybe you: - spoke when you normally would have stayed quiet - understood something difficult - recognized words while listening - wrote something in English - remembered new vocabulary - participated in SORA 👇 What was your biggest English win this week? Let's celebrate together!

@Radha Rani Starting a book that you've had on your bookshelf is a huge win! Reading will definitely help you progress in English. One tip: We usually say things are "on" a shelf. For example, I have many things on my bookshelf. Thank you for sharing your "win of the week"! Be proud of yourself!
