Got my biggest sale to date

t’s my last operational day working from the cabin in the garden. As of tomorrow, we roll out what will finally look like a full working day from the warehouse. If anyone is thinking of building a purpose‑built space in their garden, I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s been absolutely fantastic, and I’ve loved every minute of it — from freezing mornings with the Calor gas heater to those boiling‑hot summer days where you come out looking like you’ve done a full set of swimmers. The real reason for the move is simple: we’ve outgrown it. Between the core stores, eBay Live, and the rag side of the business, there wasn’t room to swing a cat in there. We ended up taking on containers and turning the garden into something that looked like a small‑scale dumping ground. Now we’re finally free of all that, and it’s genuinely exciting. But I won’t lie — a little part of me is going to miss it.

Hi everyone, Does anyone else find eBay more expensive to sell on than Vinted? It may just be because I’m still learning how eBay works, but I have more experience selling on Vinted and I’m definitely noticing the difference in fees. For example, when eBay takes around £4 from a £30 sale, it feels quite a lot compared with Vinted, where I’m not charged the same seller fees. I’m trying to build my reselling into a proper business, so I’d really appreciate hearing from other sellers. Do you find eBay worth the additional costs? Do you price your items differently on eBay to account for the fees, or are there things I could be doing differently? Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. Thank you! 😊
