Good morninggg everyone!! I need to report a praiseworthy moment from Friday that truly meant the world to me. I felt a cloudiness over me while in my office at work. See sometimes my much younger coworker and I can be at odds and I can feel a little bit out of sorts due to our generational gap and my long-term side effects from breast cancer treatment. I try not to lean on those things to stop us from growing nor stop the office from functioning properly. Yet internally, it can affect me mentally and spiritually. On this day, a bad attitude from her rubbed me the wrong way and a minister in training can't just respond or react in the same spirit. But this has been a year and a half battle. Yet the difference is I have a mentor I can call on. I texted Lucretia in my distress, honestly. She replied right away. Even though she was busy, she stepped away and listened, I mean truly listened to me without rushing. She conversed, encouraged, and prayed with me as tears flowed down my face. I could not have asked God for a better person to step in to hold my hand in my time of need than Lucretia. My mentor pulling my chin up telling me I am enough. My mentor telling me I am loved. My mentor just simply being there changed my cloudiness back to sunshine.
