Hello, I’m Berenice and I’m excited to be here ❤️ I’m a stay at home homeschool mom of three kiddos, ages 17,13, and 3. So there’s always adventure in my house😂 I have a great husband, and he has been a pastor of the same church for almost 18 years. We love what we do❤️ My favorite hobbies are reading, cooking, and thrift store shopping, mainly for books 😅 An interesting fact about me is that I went to live to Mexico when I was 20 years old as a volunteer interpreter for a missionary family and that is where I met my husband. I learned to butcher pigs, make homemade tortillas, and ride a donkey for transportation. I love the memories I made there! I am very new to the online space, but just today I opened up my community, Growing Hearts and Minds🎉 it’s a community for mothers who are raising their children with values in mind. I’m so excited to be here! I’m Ashley — wife, fur mom to two dogs and one very spoiled cat 😂, and someone who would pretty much always rather be planning the next adventure. My husband and I love to travel, and we have our sights set on becoming full-time travelers in the next 6–9 months. Sell the house, hit the road, and see where God takes us. ❤️ I’m also one half of The Build Lab, which I created with my business partner and friend, @Judy Gudmestad — who’s in here too, so I’ll tag her! 👋 We met through the online business world after both spending a lot of time learning, taking courses, and promoting other people’s products. Eventually, we realized we wanted to take everything we’d learned and build something of our own. That’s where The Build Lab came from. It’s a community for women in the online business world who are ready to bring their ideas to the table, figure out what they want to create, get real feedback and support, and actually build the thing. Even if they’re starting with “I have no freaking clue what I want to build.” 😂 Our favorite phrase is “Look what God helped me build.” And that really sums up what we hope women eventually get to say about whatever they create. Soon and very soon.... you'll want to keep this one in your back pocket because as SOOOOOON as the judge issues the decree, chapter closed and on to the next adventure for real. You know how when you're young, the older wiser people tell you how important it is to take great care who you marry. I promise I did and he turned out to be a toad masquerading as a prince. 🤣😁 So what do these new adventures and shenanigans look like.... I have no idea. I'm currently working through that. I thought I had it "all figured out" after the past year and wellllll.... maybe not. Who have I been.... teacher, prison ministry recovery leader, choir member, over giving church member, traffic engineer for a now non-existent cell phone service provider (RIP Sprint PCS), a nanny, a JCPenney catalog operator and a University of Phoenix Online academic counselor. Favorite place to live... Phoenix Favorite place to be myself... beach on the the ocean Favorite food... Tex Mex Favorite travel destination... New Zealand Currently living tiny in a 40 foot long (maybe) tiny home in a community. Fun fact about me... I've traveled places by myself and moved myself cross country without knowing a soul in the new location multiple times. You could save I thrive on adventure. :D I'm the only person in my family living outside of the 75 mile radius of the rest of them. Just call me Moana! Country roots and city wings.

I’m a retired educator who somehow found her way into entrepreneurship and community building. 😂 I’ve learned that I really love bringing people together, asking good questions, and figuring out how we create spaces where people genuinely know and support one another. @Lisa Vanderveen Lisa's vision for this community caught my attention because I love the idea of having a place where faith and business don’t have to live in separate boxes. I’m still building, learning, questioning, and figuring things out too, and I’m looking forward to being able to have some of those conversations here with people who understand both. Outside of business, I’m a Kentucky girl, married to my childhood friend, and pretty happy anytime life gives me a reason to slow down, laugh, and enjoy the people around me. ❤️ Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
