Hey all! I finally got my website where I want it, atleast for now lol!! Ask me again tomorrow, right? I drew heavy influence from @Luis Dominguez. His page is a monster! This thing tracks all my fitness routines and all corralling data, training zones, supplements, scale data, etc., everything works offline with the telegram app Thanks @Kevin Rudd, you're the man!

Looking very good! Gave me some good ideas on redesign the layout. And wow you got data and visualisation of those!! Nice work!
AAC News Ep. 3: AI Slop Masked in Running Form
Two of the biggest takeaways I hope everyone who takes this course walks away with are the power of providing these models context and learning how to properly prompt. If you can master both of these concepts you will be truly be able to use the full power of these models. In a lighter news week, I took the time to breakdown some concepts that I've learned along the way - getting your real data into the model through an MCP or an API, and a prompting method I use called SCURPE - plus the latest topics and gear news. Check it out here: AAC News Ep. 3 Also covered: - The exact click path to connect your data in Claude and in ChatGPT - SCURPE (Statement, Context, Understanding, Research, Plan, Execute) with a full example prompt you can steal - Wahoo put its training analytics behind a 3 tier paywall, and the API route around it - My take on the Pixel Watch 5, plus why comparing it to a Fenix 8 Pro is a little comical - Anthropic is watermarking everything Claude writes now Made a prediction in there too - every major app company ships an MCP within 6 months. Let me know what you want me to go deeper on or if you've got suggestions for next week, I've got a ton of ideas but want to hear from you! Kevin

When it comes to prompting with SCURPE, I really have some work to do. I tend to use these chatbots in a pair-programming mode, building the solution 'together' in a dialogue. It kind of works for me, but I definitely see the value of engineering larger prompts, putting more thought in before submitting to the chatbot. And for sharing the prompt/solution with others, my dialogue-based way of working doesn't translate at all. I'm able to get the chatbot to solve impressive things, but I think investing some time to better engineer good prompts would be smart. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks though 😉
Week 8 - First Event is Locked! SIGN UP HERE!
We are 835 strong today, up from 789 last Monday. 46 new faces in seven days and a ton of you came in from the triathlon side, so welcome! First, the event. The votes are in and Most Miles in a Month took it, 10 to 8 over the daily challenge drops (daily challenge will be our second event!). So that is what we are building. @Ian Antonoff and I are working on sponsorships and getting sick prizes for the winning team. Running, cycling, swimming and hiking all count. Will release the weighted numbers when we kick it off. Only thing left to do is confirm for those people who are in! This one we will use a google poll so that we can get email addresses and phone numbers: SIGN UP HERE Secondly, a recap of what we pushed last week. I was traveling for a few days so this one is a little tighter than usual: 1. The #1 thing people get wrong connecting Garmin to Claude - you hand it your data with no baseline, so it invents workouts that have nothing to do with the athlete you actually are 2. vVO2 max - the single best performance indicator for endurance athletes, how to find yours, and how to actually move it 3. VO2 max vs running economy - two numbers everyone treats as one, and the one that is really deciding your race time 4. 7 running heart rate zones and how to calculate yours with Claude 5. COROS August update - what actually changed and whether any of it matters 6. Google Pixel Watch 5 dropped - the rundown and how it compare to Garmin's suite 7. 4 ways to use AI to run better - the simple ones, for anyone just getting started 8. Buzz demo group - group is live and we are working through kinks of the platform but at first glance it seems really power! Hopefully can share results by end of this week. Thanks again @.Kostya Panov for surfacing it 9. Classroom housekeeping - the Athlete OS Library prompts are still on my list, apologies @Lars Johan Ulveseth this week got away from me, but I will get it done this week!

No worries Kevin! I have been busy building on top of the Advanced Athlete OS creating my TSB/CTL/ATL dashboard grounded in Stryd's algorithm, but built out to account for all my training an not only running. And I have built tools to replace a lot of my manual spreadsheets. And I even have had time to get in some running and strength training.
So curious to know what you all are doing with this super power!?
just finished building out the Athlete.OS and Dashboard. SO FUN! Make sure to check out all the "take it a step further" tabs. My head is still swimming with ideas on things to continue adding to it. The carry over is insane. I cant wait to build out more personal aspects of this (non fitness related). What are some things you all have added to your Athlete.OS and Dashboard that maybe weren't covered in the course? I added a weight lifting connection to my Hevy app, connected my Strava for Runs and BJJ tracking, I also built out the "fuel" skill to not be race specific but to provide feedback on my nutrition given my activity and body recomp goals.

@Jake Williams Yes, if you are willing to share your promp/steps on how to set up the Athlete OS against Hevy app API. That would be very nice. I just did a quick search and I see briefly what needs to be done. Maybe I make the PROMPT/recipe/steps and share if you don't beat me to it 😀 I see that an active Hevy Pro subscription is needed. Luckily I have a lifelong PRO subscription so I'm good on that point.

@Jake Williams No rush 😃
Advanced Athlete OS, Lesson 4 - Personal Fitness Agent
I'm confused on the .gitignore files. There is one on root and one inside command-center/ I ended up adding command-center to the root .gitignore file and therefore also ended up with two github repos. One for Athlete.OS and one for the subfolder command-center/ Doesn't feel 100% correct. Any comments anyone?
