Hello, Everyone! My name is Latashia, and I am joining from Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I am a recent graduate with a master's degree in Health Sciences and 15 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. I am currently exploring opportunities to transition into a new career path where I can apply my experience, education, and transferable skills. I was inspired to join this course after speaking with a former participant who spoke highly of the program. After meeting with Mrs. Gregory, I became even more excited about the opportunity to learn, grow, build meaningful connections, and strengthen my confidence. Over the next 23 days, I plan to learn to be more patient with myself, remind myself that it is okay to make mistakes, and become more comfortable stepping outside my comfort zone. I want to embrace the learning process and recognize that every experience, including the challenges, is an opportunity to grow and become a more confident and effective speaker. One leadership skill I'd like to strengthen is self-awareness as a leader. I already know the type of leader I aspire to become, but I want to better understand the leadership skills I currently possess and identify areas where I can grow to become an effective servant leader. One fun fact about me is that I enjoy googling random fun fact just to learn something new. I'm looking forward to learning from each and every one of you!
