A "no" turned into $61,218
I didn't convince her of anything. She did $61,218 in sales (25% of which was my cut) In August a Skool owner told me "not right now." Most of us would push. Send a case study. A better pitch. One more follow up. I offered her something different instead, got her on a call, and then I mostly shut up and listened. On our call she told me exactly what she needed. Her words: "I'm not opposed to anything so long as it makes money and doesn't add a crap ton of extra work for me." That sentence was the whole brief. So the offer was built from what she said: - Makes money: I only get paid after the money lands in her bank. - No extra work: we run it, she approves. - Her members: one prize built on what they kept asking her for. Land your first (or next) paying client in 90 days. - Her stuff: the menu for everyone who didn't win came from offers she already had. About 10 days later: $61,218 in sales. 16 buyers out of 44 bidders. And now she's given us access to her audience, so we tap new people into her program every day. I never had to convince her. The offer did that part. My job was to LISTEN. Do you have anyone "stuck" in the "maybe" stage in your dm's or email inbox?

DM sales changed my life.
Hey all, just wanted to jump in here and give a short intro. I own my own agency, worked with them and also partnered with them. Worked behind the scenes with the "who's who" in the marketing world. And I actually had very humble beginnings as a lonesome product creator. Never got into the "producct launch ratrace" as that wasn't for me, and I REFUSED to pump out rehashed material into the market. Later I cut my teeth as a "high ticket closer" before that was a buzzword. And I did very well. Above industry average actually. I won't leave my resume here or anything, but let's say when I 'said goodbye" to that carreer, I was closing at a 46% rate. But damn. Jumping on zoom SUCKS. Having a "color coded" calendar (prison) SUCKS ! And was not for me at all. So I looked for a better way. Years ago, I got into DM sales. Considering my background, it seemed like a natural fit. I was looking for something where I could get the same 'high ticket' results without needing to 'jump on call.' Needless to say, dm sales worked for me. I've done several 6 figure campaigns and one of the last partners I had I cleaned up nearly 3/4 of a million dollars just 'casually' spending a couple hours on the weekend for them over the course of a little over a year. Just wanted to let y'all know that... Yes there is nuance. But the nuance can be learned. Even better if you've never "closed" on the phone before. Now, whenever I'm on a mastermind call, I usually stay off camera, citing "closer PTSD" lol. But may show my face from time to time. On MY terms :) Anyways. That turned out to be longer than I expected. But just wanted to say HI THERE. Always down to network and mingle as well ✨ Cheers folks

@David Mcalorum freaking legend, so glad to have you in this group brother
10 cold emails. 8 replies. Here's the one thing she changed.
A woman in Canada was cold emailing wineries, selling email marketing. Her subject line: "Do you need email marketing?" Yeahhh... You can guess how that went. So she changed one thing. New subject line? "Wine tasting." Then she opened her email with questions about their tastings. Not a word about her service. Now, out of 10 emails, she was getting 8 or 9 replies. Calls with about half of them. (Travis tells this one in his cold outreach training.) It's not uncommon to see posts about sending 100k DMs and what worked. Respect. Volume works... but it's messy, and it kinda relies on luck. But isn't it more strategic to pick who you wanna work with, first? I'd rather send 5 DMs to 5 DREAMY partners or clients than cross my fingers and hope a good one replies. Travis has a litmus test for this: "If it can't be used for anybody else on the planet other than this person, you're doing it right." So here's the low volume version: Pick 5 people. Not 5,000. People you'd actually love to work with. Spend five minutes on each one. Find something personal and something about their business. Then find the thing they're lying in bed thinking about right now. Open with that thing. No pitch. No calendar link. Just open the conversation. And give before you ask. Feels like too little, right? 5 is nothing. But 5 real conversations beat 5,000 "seen" receipts, every time. Wanna see how I pick the 5? Comment "5" and I'll talk to ya in a DM. PS. Yes, a post about sending fewer DMs, in a group called DM Sales. I see it too.

As hard as Giving candy to a baby 🍬
You know what's fiddy times easier than taking candy from a baby? Giving candy to a baby. Travis Sago said that a few times already. This idea keeps haunting me. What if, instead of chasing strangers in the DMs, you found somebody who already has the crowd you want... ...handed 'em something their people would love, and let 'em keep 100% of the money? All you keep is the gold wrapper. The customer. Ya know, the person who's already bought something and will keep buying, again and again? I haven't done it myself yet. Kinda itching to. Quick gut check before I go down this rabbit hole. 1 to 10, how much would you want to see this worked out in here, start to finish? Just drop the number 👇

@Aj Silvers it's all offers, in the end. The main thing is not trying to get people to say yes to what we want, but figuring out what THEY want and give it to them and get access/control of the asset (the list) on our end whenever I start using the words "licensing" or "AI" I tend to lose people

Why do cold DM's get ignored
"Cold DM is dead. Everybody's inbox is full now. The game changed." Maybe? Check out the picture for a sec. Two signs. Which one sticks with you? Don't think about it. Just answer. Which one pulls you IN? Nobody picks the first one. And technically, the first one is the better sign. It tells you exactly what it is, even the price. It's honest, it's clear... there's nothing wrong with it. It's 100% rational. The second one, though... That one is pure emotion. It doesn't pitch you anything. It asks you something first, and you can't help but answer it in your own head. ...how long HAS it been? Sign one is about him. His flowers, his price. Him, him, him. Sign two is about YOU. "Me, me, me." That's the whole thing right there, dude. Your offer may be yours... but their attention is about them. >> Bad outreach is all about you. Good outreach is all about them. And your cold DM is sign one. "I help dentists get more patients with SEO." mmkay... That's your flowers and your price, shouted at a guy doing 60. Now here's the part everybody skips. The fix is not waving sign two in front of EVERY person. Not everyone has a mom. Or likes theirs. It's going and finding the guy who is ALREADY carrying the problem. Not the dentist shopping for SEO today, because he doesn't exist. The one with two chairs sitting empty every Thursday and a hygienist to pay on Friday. You don't create that problem. You pick people who already have it. Right person + right problem. Then you open with something they answer in their own head. Stranger → conversation Conversation → agreed problem Agreed problem → THEN you offer That's the missing step: diagnose first. That's it. Cold DM works fine. It just can't be about you. 👉 So which sign have you been holding? Drop one of your last cold DMs below. No cleaning it up first lol
