*Includes my GPT Migration Audit Prompt Before you turn every GPT you built into a Plugin, stop and audit what you already have. You may have GPTs that are: - duplicates - outdated - doing almost the same job - unfinished - rarely used - carrying conflicting instructions - no longer worth maintaining If you move all of that directly into Plugins, you have not cleaned up your system. You have moved the clutter. Migration without organization can turn GPT clutter into Plugin clutter. The better question is not: “How do I migrate all of my GPTs?” It is: “How do I preserve what I built without carrying the mess with me?” Start by giving every GPT one decision: KEEP | IMPROVE | REBUILD | MERGE | RETIRE Then decide what the information actually needs to become. System Instructions Use these when AI mainly needs to know your rules, standards, boundaries, approval requirements, and how you want the work done. Skill Use this when there is a specific repeatable workflow AI should know how to perform again and again. Plugin Use this when several related Skills or capabilities belong together inside one larger system. For example, instead of creating separate Plugins for Email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Skool, and Substack, some of those may make more sense as related Skills inside one Communications Plugin. That is the difference between migration and architecture. Your GPT is not the most valuable part. The value is in what you taught it: - your processes - instructions - examples - knowledge - standards - workflows Audit it. Preserve what matters. Simplify it. Then build the Plugin system around the work you actually want to keep. 📌 See the first pinned comment for the prompt.
