OCTOBER NAIL SKOOL CHALLENGE!
📸 LIGHTS ON / LIGHTS OFF NAIL PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE One winner will receive a BIG BOX of nail goodies (tons of stuff I promise)! 🎁 This is a nail photography challenge—not a challenge to recreate the nails in our example. Create any nail design using any brand of glow product. Then photograph the same finished nails twice: 💡 One photo with the lights ON 🌙 One photo with the lights OFF Try to keep your hand position and camera angle as similar as possible so we can clearly see the transformation. Need help? Competitors can use both of these Nail Skool courses for reference: ✨ Spooky Glow 📸 The Nail Photography Masterclass We are judging how well your two photographs capture the lights-on/lights-off transformation—not who creates the most complicated nail art. NO AI ENHANCEMENTS OF COURSE! (you have to turn OFF the flash on your phone when you take the pic in the dark - ALSO don't forget to try a video , again NO FLASH, you can take screen shots of still moments that are best). The example photos only demonstrate the photography concept. You do not have to copy the design, colors, length, shape, or products. Any brand is welcome. Wildflowers products are not required. LEARN IT. TRY IT. LIGHTS OUT. ✨

@Angela Trondson oooh it’s like a hidden geode! Really cool!
Sharing a mani I adored ♥️
I have loved every moment of wearing this peacock chrome mani! As I’m relatively new to using & wearing chrome, I’ve been exploring to see what I like in addition to a chrome finish, so I played a little more here with texture and art on top after wearing just the chrome + peacock feather for most of the week. On my index finger: I played with a cross-hatch design with polish (a teal crelly and a holo glitter + topcoat) and clear puffy gel on top. The texture got lost a little bit because I worked the puffy gel too thin, so it was a good learning experience. On my middle finger: I used a clear base gel to bloom a teal crelly gel into a flower, added a few tiny dots of holo glitter to the middle and after topcoat, added a few dots of puffy gel to bring out the holo glitter just a bit more. I personally adore the full shine of this peacock chrome and this is an interesting way to soften it just a bit - a hidden treasure! On my ring finger: I used clear puffy gel on top of the gold chrome gel to see if it would bring that out even more, and I think it did! It was also the first thing I tried, and I wondered how thin I’d be able to lay down this gel - very thin, assuming I use a thin liner brush. On my pinky: I used puffy gel to add squiggles, used a white/silver chrome on top, then added topcoat to seal the chrome. It’s hard to see the detail in this photo but I love the contrasting, textured chrome on mirror chrome! Most of the time I end up playing with my mani design as I wear it to better understand possibilities and what I personally like to wear. It’s been a fun way to keep exploring ♥️

@Jes Welch thank you so much ♥️ I wore it with just the feather and the rest of the nails straight chrome & I could not stop smiling every time I caught a glimpse. I’m glad I played with the texture a bit the last day to see what I might like and to explore puffy gel’s capabilities… but it didn’t actually need anything added to it.
Cleaning brushes
Hey guys! I am looking for tips on cleaning brushes, like as I am going along and not when I'm done... Like with regular acrylic paint (not nails) I just dip the brush in water to clean it off... So for my nail art brushes I've been using alcohol (on a lint free wipe, no dipping) 🫣 I hope that's ok?? I'll use acetone every like few uses to get it even more cleaned up. (Again on a wipe and I wipe brush on the wipe and pinch it out. Thank you in advance!!!

@Barbara Gregory love this! I paint a dot of glitter on the caps of my base, top and clear builder that are designated for glitter/chrome so I’ll do the same for glitter when I get some additional brushes!
