Rules about taking your petanque balls and magnet on the plane.
In Amsterdam my petanque balls were allowed in the hand luggage. In Spain, Lanzarote, I had to take them out of the hand luggage and put them in the suitcase so that they were checked in as baggage. My magnet to pick up the balls is only allowed in the hand luggage.
Tir de precision competition 8-10 till 14-10
In this competition you shoot 10 balls at 8 metres. You write down the balls shot and the carreaus and pass on that result here. Kevin will announce the 3 week winners. We do this for 4 weeks. The final 3 winner are the ones who make the most progress in the 4 weeks.

This weekends match reports
Nothing from me this weekend as it’s been torrential rain here and almost everything was cancelled. How was your weekend? Did you win or learn?

Last night i played 2 games at a club in Lanzarote. The surface was very hard. I applied my high lob technique and that went very well in the beginning. Later that probably weakened because the technique is still new to me and my body has not yet been able to develop automatism. It was played quickly and I went along with it. So I forgot to do my routines because I had the idea that otherwise I would be playing too slow for the others. Something that happens to me more often. My shoots were below the measure. I always defered a little to the left. Probably because I didn't let my arm swing enough but wanted to give too much direction myself. My best throw was the delayed placement where the swing is controlled with a high bow and with a lot of feeling is carried all the way to his goal. I played 2 triplets matches of which we won the last.

@Kevin ORourke Maybe we can give Jimmy a gift by holding a weekly training competition for example shooting 10 balls at 8 metres with the result the number of balls hit and the number of carreaus. The result is reported here and Kevin announces the numbers 1 to 3 weekly. We do that for 4 weeks and the final winner will be the one with the most progression in the 4 weeks. This gives each player a chance to win at his own level.
Help me to create the next Boule Mind Series
I've created a quick JotForm questionnaire that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to complete. This is a vital first step in helping me to learn how different players think, react, develop, and play. There will be more detailed ones in the future, but I would like to use you all as example subjects. All responses will be confidential, and this is an initial experiment. https://form.jotform.com/262772125541051

Done
High lob with round tolling ball effect
This morning I trained on the high ball. Most of the balls ran out a metre after the donnee. I tried something else, namely the round tolling ball (the curled hand as far as possible against the wrist and then a quarter turned to the left and that position changes at the end of the throw to a quarter to the left). It went surprisingly well. First give the throw with the outstretched arm direction and length and move the hand from left to right at the end. The ball only ran 30-40 cm further after the donnee. I often see the round tolling ball used by the professionals because they want to keep their shooting ball as close to the jack as possible.I would like to hear if you have experience with this and have tips for me?
