I read something today…
Acknowledge, accept, and honor that you deserve your own deepest compassion and love. ~ Nanette Matthews That hit home for me since I’m willing to do that for everyone else, but when it comes to me… not so much. But I think I deserve as much respect as the next person, right? I believe in the whole “Do unto others what you’d have them do unto you.” (Though not in a religious context.) So why can’t I do this for myself? I want respect, why can’t I start at home? I’m growing, and that’s all I can do. Are you growing?

I think sometimes we're so busy showing up for everyone else that we forget we deserve that same love, kindness, and compassion ourselves. I've spent a lot of my life learning and growing, and one thing I've realized is that giving ourselves grace can be harder than giving it to someone else. Am I growing? Absolutely. Am I where I want to be? Not yet. But I'm not where I used to be either, and that means something. I believe we're all works in progress. Some days we grow, some days we struggle, but as long as we KEEP GOING, we're moving in the right direction. ❤️
Hi Everyone
“Hi everyone ❤️ I’ve been quieter here than I wanted to be, and I’ve missed connecting with you. Keep Going means so much to me, and I want to start showing up here more consistently—one small step at a time. You don’t have to have everything figured out to belong here. My hope is that this can be a place where we encourage each other, celebrate small wins, and find a little strength on the hard days. I’d love to hear from you: How are you doing, and what’s one thing you’re working through or working toward right now? I’m glad you’re here. Keep going. ❤️”

What are those wins?
Hey everyone…What’s one win from this week so far…big or small? Wins count even if you struggled. Awareness, honesty, and showing up are wins too.

My win this week: I chose safety over people-pleasing 💙 I was working alone at the country club hosting a party, and when it got late and I was by myself in an empty building, I started feeling unsafe and anxious. The old me would have stayed and pushed through because I didn't want to disappoint anyone or leave work unfinished. But I've learned in recovery that severe anxiety can be a direct path back to using, and it's MY job to protect myself from that spiral. So I made the hard choice - I left some work for the next morning when the sun was up and got myself to safety. Might I get in trouble? Maybe. But I stayed sober and clear-headed to handle whatever conversation comes my way. Sometimes protecting our recovery means disappointing people. Sometimes it means choosing what's safe over what's expected. And you know what? I'm proud of myself for recognizing the situation, trusting my instincts, and putting my safety first. That awareness and that choice? That's my win. 💪 Because without my sobriety, nothing else matters. And I'm learning that the right people will understand that my recovery comes first.
Introduction Time!!!
Welcome to the Keep Going Movement! I'm Lynn Ellen, and my recovery journey began on May 8, 2023. To say the last seven years of my life before that were messy would be an understatement. I went from being a housewife with four children and a busy schedule to losing everything to crack cocaine addiction. But that's not where my story ends - it's where my mission began. During my early recovery, I found myself making a simple bracelet with two words that kept pulling me through: "Keep Going." Every time I looked down at my wrist and saw those words, they gave me the strength to push forward, no matter what challenges I faced. Today, I'm a proud mom rebuilding relationships with my four children, including my oldest who didn't speak to me for three years but now has an amazing relationship with me. I get my hair done every Monday (because self-care matters!), and I hand-make and distribute over 300 "Keep Going" bracelets monthly to people who need that same reminder that kept me going. My style is boho, my heart is full of hope, and my mission is clear: to share the message that recovery is possible. I might have seen the darkest sides of addiction, including violence and loss, but I choose to focus on the light of recovery and the promises that come true when you just keep going. Through this community, I want to create a space where we can: - Support each other's recovery journeys - Share the power of the Keep Going message - Create and distribute bracelets to those who need hope - Build a movement of strength and possibility - Show others that recovery is possible Join me every morning for coffee and connection as we build this community together. Whether you're in recovery, supporting someone who is, or just need the reminder to keep going, you're in the right place. Remember, no matter what life throws at you, all you have to do is keep going forward. With hope and determination, Lynn Ellen Founder, Keep Going Movement www.keepgoingwithlynnellen.com

@Jason Dobbie Jason welcome we are happy to have you here. I love that the keep going movement aligns with what you believe in I’m looking to start keep going movements all over the country. What would you think about starting it where you live? You could hand out bracelets everyone you connect with. It’s so much fun and they really change peoples lives

On Jan 18th 2026 I Made 25 Months Clean From Drugs And Today Jan 26th 2026 I Also Made 25 Months Sober From Alcohol sobriety is a challenging journey, but it ultimately leads to building something you can be proud of. It involves relearning how to live life without relying on substances or drinks and becoming a better version of yourself. Although sobriety and life can be tough, recovery provides you with the necessary tools to navigate life's challenges in the long run. A healthy support system can be vital for a smother Sobriety journey. Although the urges of alcohol can be challenging to overcome, you'll eventually find that they decrease in intensity or you'll develop different strategies to deal with them without turning to drinking. Although the urges of alcohol can be challenging to overcome, you'll eventually find that they decrease in intensity or you'll develop different strategies to deal with them without turning to drinking. Sobriety is a daily journey that demands dedication and perseverance. It starts again each morning and continues throughout the day, without a break or a day off. In the early stages of sobriety, setting small, achievable goals is vital. This might involve breaking down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks, such as staying sober for a single hour or making it through the day without a slip-up. By achieving these small goals, you'll build confidence and momentum, which will help you stay on track and reach more significant milestones. small sober goals are better then no sober goals and no milestones reached sobriety is a one day at a time just for today all day everyday process Getting sober isn't just about quitting drinking; it's about addressing the underlying disorders and causes of your addiction. Through this process, you learn to heal and repair the damage from past experiences and current situations, ultimately overcoming the problems you created during your addiction's darkest moments. Sobriety not only saves your life but also gives you a life worth living. Giving you a life to live that you can be proud of as well I'm trying my best hour by hour and day by day to stay sober for myself and those who love me I Recover Out Loud Because I Almost Died In Silence and We Do Recover We Do Get Clean We Do Get Sober There Is A Life After Addiction One Day At A Time Everyday Just For One More Day

@Ann Mitchell you really need to go back and read what Belinda originally said. She was showing you support she just may not have used the best words in your opinion but she was cheering you on.
