Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to explain a simple concept that can improve your chart analysis: Round Psychological Levels. Many traders have asked me about these levels, so let’s understand how to use them effectively. 🔹 What Are Round Psychological Levels? Round psychological levels are price levels with round numbers that traders may pay extra attention to when analyzing the market. These levels can attract buying and selling interest because traders and institutions may use them as reference points when placing orders. As a result, round numbers can sometimes become areas of increased liquidity, price rejection, or potential reversal. But remember: We cannot identify institutional buying or selling simply by looking at a round number. These levels are additional confluence, not a standalone entry signal. 🔹 How Do I Mark Psychological Levels? Personally, I mark my psychological levels at 500-point intervals, following the method I learned from my mentor. For example: GBPJPY - 190.500 - 190.000 - 189.500 AUDUSD - 0.77000 - 0.76500 - 0.76000 These levels are not guaranteed support or resistance. Their usefulness depends on the market context and how price behaves around them. If price repeatedly rejects a particular level, it may provide additional information about the market's reaction in that area. 🔥 THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE Identify your AOI (Area of Interest) FIRST. Then look for psychological levels. Here is my approach: 1️⃣ Identify your AOI Find the area where you expect price to react based on your market analysis. 2️⃣ Find the nearest psychological level Check whether a significant round number lies within or near your AOI. 3️⃣ Look for confluence If the psychological level aligns with your AOI, it may strengthen your analysis. Then wait for price action to provide confirmation before considering an entry. Remember, a level alone is not a trading setup. Analyze the market. Wait for confirmation. Execute with proper risk management.
