Happy for you @Lisa Drennon
What happens after you close your Bible?
I've been thinking about this question lately. We can read Scripture, underline a verse, listen to a sermon, or finish a Bible study—and still move into the rest of our day without allowing what we learned to change anything. But what if we asked one more question before moving on? "Lord, how do You want me to live this today?" Maybe the Scripture we read changes how we respond to someone who irritates us. Maybe it affects a business decision. Maybe it means apologizing. Maybe it means waiting instead of rushing ahead. Maybe it simply reminds us to include Jesus in an ordinary part of our day where we normally wouldn't think to. This is something we've been talking about as I've been building Hungry 4 Jesus: not simply learning more about Jesus, but knowing Him more deeply and putting what we're learning into practice. I'm curious: What helps you take something you've read in Scripture and actually carry it with you into the rest of your day?

@Lisa Drennon Lisa, I love how you take what you learn in Scripture beyond just studying it and ask the Holy Spirit how to actually live it throughout the day. That’s such an important part of it. It’s not just what we learn when the Bible is open, but what we do with it after we close it.

@Abigail Ringger I used to highlight everything, Now I use mostly Bible apps.
Are You Pitch Posting & Ghosting? 👻
I know Halloween is right around the corner but we gotta keep the ghosting out! @Chris Suckling shared something in his post that made me realize this is EXACTLY what's happening here and all over Skool. When you jump into conversations that are already happening, get curious, ask questions, and actually get people talking, something starts to shift.... People begin to recognize you. They remember your name and your profile. They start jumping into YOUR conversations when they see you post. Suddenly, you don't have to work so hard to get people interested in what you do. But when every interaction starts with you dropping a pitch... 😬 chances are, you're getting the online version of that polite nod. 🤷‍♀️ There's a really good lesson in Chris's post that goes way beyond sales conversations. So here's a little food for thought... Are you pitch-posting and ghosting? Or are you actually getting into the conversations? 👉 Go read Chris's post and tell me if you see the connection, too.

I’ve been seeing this play out in real time. The more I focus on having genuine conversations and getting to know people instead of trying to promote something, the more I notice those same people showing up in my conversations too. Relationships really do come first.
Your ideas may not be the problem
One thing I've noticed as a writer is that people often have much more to say than they think they do. The problem isn't always coming up with ideas. Sometimes it's recognizing the value in what you already know. Your experiences. Questions people ask you. Problems you've solved. Conversations you've had. Lessons you've learned along the way. There's content hiding in all of it. That's a big part of what I enjoy about ghostwriting—listening to someone talk about what they know and helping them recognize the content that's already there. What's something you know a lot about but rarely talk about online?

@Marla Chaffin Marla, I think more people struggle with this than we realize. The things that feel ordinary to us because we’ve lived them may be exactly what someone else needs to hear. You don’t have to share everything at once, either. Maybe start with one experience and ask yourself, “What did I learn from this that might help one person?” Sometimes writing for that one person makes it feel a lot less intimidating.

@Heather Boers yes we do.
Before you send that LinkedIn connection request…
Take a minute and look at the person first. Not just their headline. Read their About section. Look at a couple of their posts. Notice what they talk about. See how they interact with other people. Then ask yourself: Is this someone I actually want to know? It's easy to build a large LinkedIn network. Building a network filled with people you genuinely want relationships with takes a little more intention. Today, try finding just one person worth knowing. You don't even have to connect yet. Start by getting curious.
