From Learning AI to Building with AI
AI Is More Than Just Learning — It’s About Building 🚀 One thing I’m learning on my AI journey is that understanding the theory is only the beginning. The real growth happens when we start building, experimenting, making mistakes and sharing what we learn with others. Working on AI projects has shown me that you don’t have to know everything before you start. Every project teaches you something new — whether it’s Python, working with data, solving errors, designing an application or simply learning how to explain your idea to other people. I also believe community plays a huge role in this journey. Being surrounded by people who are learning, building and encouraging each other can push you to keep going when things become difficult. My biggest takeaway this week: 💡 Don’t wait until you feel like an expert to share your work. Share your progress while you’re becoming one. Every small project, lesson and challenge is part of the journey. #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #MachineLearning #Python #TechCommunity #LearningInPublic #WomenInTech #AIJourney #DigitalSkills #Innovation

The Community That Turned My Dreams Into Action
My Journey with Decoding Data Science: From a Team Builder to an AI Creator When I joined Decoding Data Science, I didn't know that it would become one of the biggest turning points in my tech journey. It all started with a team challenge. A group of us came together to build PromptCoach, an application designed to help people write better AI prompts. It was my first experience working with a team to solve a real problem using AI. We presented our project at the in5 Innovation Centre in Dubai, and although I was nervous standing in front of everyone, it gave me confidence that I could actually build and present technology that helps people. That experience changed something in me. When the AI Application Challenge was announced, I decided to challenge myself by building an application on my own. I created AgriSense AI, an AI-powered smart agriculture solution. Unlike the team project, this time every decision, every challenge, and every solution depended on me. There were moments when I wanted to give up. Debugging wasn't easy, learning new tools wasn't easy, and there were times I questioned whether I could finish. But every day of the challenge taught me something new. One moment I will never forget was the final day. One of my favourite memories was the final day of the AI Application Challenge. As the countdown clock ticked closer to zero, I had the privilege of hosting the countdown and cheering on fellow participants as they submitted their projects. It was inspiring to witness everyone's hard work, determination, and excitement. In that moment, I realised that Decoding Data Science is more than a learning platform—it's a community that celebrates every builder's success. That wasn't the end of the journey. Soon afterwards, I received another unexpected blessing. I was selected to become a Decoding Data Science Ambassador, giving me the opportunity to inspire and support others who are beginning their own AI journeys. Then came another surprise. I was announced as the winner of the Python Essentials Certificate worth $400. It wasn't just about receiving a certificate. It was a reminder that showing up consistently, engaging with the community, and putting in the effort never goes unnoticed.

Key Takeaways from Yesterday's Session
Yesterday's Decoding Data Science session was another reminder that building AI starts with solving the right problem—not just using AI because it's available. One of my biggest takeaways was learning how to identify the right AI solution: ✅ Automation for repetitive tasks ✅ LLMs for understanding and generating unstructured content ✅ RAG when knowledge retrieval is the challenge ✅ AI Agents for multi-step workflows and decision-making I also learnt about the 6-Layer AI Application Stack, which provides a practical roadmap for building AI applications: 1️⃣ Problem & Use Case 2️⃣ Data Layer 3️⃣ Intelligence Layer 4️⃣ Workflow Layer 5️⃣ Interface Layer 6️⃣ Evaluation Layer This session helped me understand that great AI products are built by carefully designing every layer—not by simply connecting to an LLM. Thank you, Mohammad Arshad and the Decoding Data Science community, for another valuable learning experience. Every session continues to strengthen my understanding of AI engineering and how to build solutions that solve real-world problems. Looking forward to applying these concepts in my own AI projects! #DecodingDataScience #ArtificialIntelligence #AIEngineering #LLM #RAG #AIAgents #Automation #MachineLearning #BuildInPublic #ContinuousLearning

Feeling incredibly grateful today! 🙏🎉 I was selected as a Top 25 Finalist from 295 participants worldwide in the Decoding Data Science Build AI Application Challenge (12th Edition)! My project, AgriSense AI, focuses on helping farmers make smarter irrigation decisions by using AI to monitor soil moisture and humidity without the need for constant physical inspection. This challenge pushed me to learn, experiment, and build something meaningful. More than the recognition, I'm thankful for the knowledge, mentorship, and amazing community that made this journey so rewarding. A huge thank you to Mohammad Arshad and everyone at Decoding Data Science for creating opportunities that inspire students like me to keep growing. This is only the beginning. On to the next challenge! 🚀💙 #DecodingDataScience #BuildInPublic #AI #Learning #AgriSenseAI #StudentJourney #KeepBuilding #NeverStopLearning
