Exploring the Future of Marketing with AI 🗨️
AI is changing the way entrepreneurs, business owners, and creators approach marketing from creating content faster to understanding customers better and improving daily workflows. I’m interested in learning how others in this community are using AI in their marketing strategies. What AI tools, systems, or techniques have helped you save time or improve your results? Would love to hear your experiences, ideas, and any lessons you’ve learned along the way.

The biggest time saving for me didn't come from a tool, it came from routing. Most people send every request to their best, most expensive model - classification, formatting, tidying up a subject line, all of it. Putting a cheap fast model in front to sort the simple jobs and only escalating the ones that need real reasoning cut my spend substantially without any drop in output quality. Second lesson, learned the hard way: don't automate a process you haven't written down. If it's broken, AI just makes it produce bad work faster. Write out what the ideal human version looks like - clear inputs, expected output, defined handoffs - then automate that. I keep a free AI playbook in my profile that covers both if it's useful.
Local or service biz ?
Do you have a local or service business? Like a contractor, construction, local stores, professional services (legal, accounting etc.), beauty (hair , nails etc.). What are you biggest struggles with marketing or with customers at the moment ?

I do a lot of outreach into local and service businesses, so from that side the pattern is remarkably consistent. Two things come up over and over. First, speed to lead - the business that replies within a few minutes wins the job, and most of them are getting back to enquiries the next morning. That single gap loses more work than any amount of ad spend fixes. Second, their site is a brochure rather than an answer. It says who they are and how long they've been trading, but not what a job costs, how fast they can come out, or whether they cover your area - which are the only three things the person actually wants. Fixing the reply time and putting those three answers above the fold is usually worth more than a rebrand. I keep a free AI playbook in my profile with the automation side of the follow-up piece if that's useful.

The thing that surprised me most is that it barely rewards the stuff classic SEO rewards. Models don't seem to weight backlink authority so much as corroboration - if three or four independent sites describe you the same way, you get named. If only your own site makes the claim, you don't. So the highest-leverage work is off your own domain: directories, roundups, review sites, podcast show notes, anywhere a third party states what you do in plain language. Second thing: write answers that are liftable. Explicit question as a heading, direct answer in the first sentence underneath, no throat-clearing. That format gets quoted back nearly verbatim while a beautifully written paragraph gets skipped. Third, name yourself consistently everywhere - same business name, same category words - or the model splits you into two entities and neither one ranks. And actually test it. Ask the models your buying-intent questions weekly and log which sources they cite, because those sources are your real target list. I keep a free AI playbook in my profile that goes deeper on the workflow side if it's useful.
