🔥 New Video: I Tested Opus 5.5 vs Sonnet 5.5 on Motion Graphics
Sonnet 5.5 is half the price of Opus 5.5 per token. So is Opus worth paying more for motion graphics? I gave both models the same three prompts, one shot each at medium effort. Then I showed the films side by side as A and B before revealing which model made which and what each one cost. The three rounds: Round 1, claymation reel: A reel built from the products and characters in my claymation ads. Opus cost $2.66 and took 13m 54s. Sonnet cost $1.65 and took 19m 38s. I picked Sonnet. Round 2, SCORCH hot sauce ad: A 15-second ad that has to hook a YouTube viewer. Opus cost $5.36 and took 26m 30s. Sonnet cost $0.98 and took 13m 48s. I picked Opus. Round 3, Nimbo app launch: A launch film for an app I made up, in the style of three reference videos. Opus cost $6.89 and took 20m 41s. Sonnet cost $1.46 and took 12m 17s. I picked Sonnet. On average Opus cost $4.97 a film and Sonnet $1.36. Those are the Claude bills, read from Claude Code's own session logs. The Motion Graphics Starter Kit: Everything I use to make these is in one skill. Give it one line or a full brief with your logos and product shots. You get back a finished MP4 with music and sound effects cut to the beat, checked frame by frame before Claude calls it done. It runs on HyperFrames, HeyGen's free engine. Generated music (fal.ai) and generated scenes (Higgsfield) are optional. Without them every film is built in code, for free. Send this prompt to Claude Code **copy below this line** I'm giving you a skill called Motion Graphics Starter Kit. Get the files with: git clone https://github.com/automatorsplus/motion-graphics-starter-kit-skill Follow the README to set it up. Recommend how it would best apply to our setup in plain language, and ask me a few questions to clarify my intent before you install it.

⚡️ Skill of the Week: video-shotcraft
video-shotcraft turns Claude Code into a motion design studio for product videos. It has 10,793 stars on GitHub. https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-shotcraft It builds everything in Remotion, so the whole film is React code that renders to an MP4. Here's what happens when you run it: 1. It looks at your product first. Give it a project or a URL and it does a read-only check, then recommends one of three routes: the ready-made Ink Press template, a free build where Claude makes every call, or a co-created build where you sign off the brief, the visual direction and the storyboard. 2. It captures your real pages. It starts a local dev server and screenshots them with a headless browser at 2x, so the video shows your actual UI. 3. It takes fonts and colours from your product's own design system, so the film matches the look of your brand. 4. It picks shots from 157 recipe cards across 10 categories. Each card has a tuned Remotion demo behind it. 5. It adds sound from a library of 149 effects and 5 music tracks. If you pick a track, it finds the beat and lands the cuts on it. 6. A separate subagent reviews the finished film before you see it. Then a browser editor opens where you can change the text, colours and timing shot by shot. Install it by pasting this into Claude Code: Install this skill for me: https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-shotcraft Or run: npx skills add Vincentwei1021/video-shotcraft Browse all 214 motion previews before you start: https://vincentwei1021.github.io/video-shotcraft/ The skill is Apache-2.0. Remotion has its own licence. It's free for individuals and for companies with up to 3 employees. Bigger for-profit companies need a company licence. Who's pointing it at something they've built this week? Drop the video in the comments.

🔥 New Video: Claude Code Mods Change Everything. Install These 5 NOW
Anthropic just let us mod Claude Code. A mod changes what you see and how Claude Code behaves: panes, buttons and live info right above the prompt. You don't write the code yourself. You describe what you want and Claude builds it. In this video I show five I built. All five are below for you to install. The five: Chomp: A maze game opens beside the chat once Claude has been working for 20 seconds. A line above the maze shows what Claude is doing. The game pauses when it's done. Type /chomp to open it any time. Cache Clock: One line above the prompt: minutes left before your cache goes cold, what your next message would cost if it does, your context, your five-hour and weekly limits and the session cost. Handoff makes Claude write a note so a fresh chat picks up where you left off. Command Centre: Type /centre. Press Find my prompts and it reads your recent sessions, finds the prompts you repeat most and turns them into one-press buttons. The Skills tab puts every skill and command one press away. Prompt Coach: Type /coach and your prompt. It scores it out of 10 on goal, context and done, tells you what's missing and gives you a better version to send or edit. Model Showdown: Type /versus and a question. It goes to Haiku, Sonnet and Opus at once and shows the answers side by side with time, tokens and cost. Use this one sends the answer you pick into your chat. Before you install: You need Claude Code v2.1.287 or later in the terminal, or the Code tab of the Claude Desktop app on v2.1.286 or later. Type /status to check. Mods run in VS Code, but nothing shows in its chat panel. Install in your terminal, two lines per mod: claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/chomp-mod claude plugin install chomp@chomp-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/cache-clock-mod claude plugin install cache-clock@cache-clock-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/command-centre-mod claude plugin install command-centre@command-centre-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/prompt-coach-mod

🔍 Tool of the Week: Vercel
Vercel takes the code in a GitHub repo and turns it into a live website, then rebuilds it every time the code changes. 👉 https://vercel.com How it works: 1. Connect a repo. GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket. From then on Vercel watches it. 2. Push to your production branch (usually main). Vercel builds a production deployment that replaces what's live. 3. Push to any other branch or open a pull request and you get a preview deployment with its own URL. You check the change there before it touches the live site. 4. If a release breaks something, Instant Rollback puts a previous production deployment back. Keys and settings live in environment variables, set separately for Local, Preview and Production. So a preview can point at a test database while the live site uses the real one. vercel env pull copies them down to your machine. You can skip Git entirely and deploy from the terminal. npm i -g vercel installs the CLI. vercel makes a preview, vercel --prod goes live. Claude Code can run both, so putting a build live becomes something you just ask for. On cost: the Hobby plan is free but limited to personal, non-commercial projects. Anything for a business needs Pro, at $20 per developer seat a month. What are you using to put your Claude Code builds live right now?

🔥 New Video: GPT-6 Astra + HyperFrames = INSANE AI Video Editing
I recorded one raw intro clip, pointing at where I wanted things to go. GPT-6 Astra and HyperFrames turned it into a finished edit: a title, cards, captions, the websites I've built sliding past and last week's video playing in a window. In this video I break down how it works, then run it live. Here's the five-step process: Step 1, Transcribe: It transcribes your raw clip word by word. You can use OpenAI's Whisper model or an external tool like ElevenLabs, which is a bit faster. Step 2, Cut: From the transcript it makes the cuts: silences, stumbles, the dead space at the start and the end. Step 3, Plan the beats: Every cue you say becomes a moment on screen. When I say the cards coming in from the left, cards come in from the left. If you record yourself pointing and saying it, most of the plan is already done. Step 4, Build with HyperFrames: HyperFrames is HeyGen's locally hosted video editor. Astra pushes the cut video and the beat plan into it and builds the motion layers on top. Step 5, Verify: It watches the result back. If something's wrong it replans the beats and rebuilds. In the live run I show the exact prompt: where the raw clip is, which cues I say, where my websites and last video live. I ask for a plan first. It comes back as a timed map of every cue and what goes there. I say go, it builds the edit. When I wanted one change, keeping my background when I shrink into the corner, I just asked for it in the chat. To get started you need the HyperFrames skill. Copy the GitHub link, paste it into your GPT-6 Astra chat and tell it to install the skill. At the end I show three shorts built with HyperFrames from my long-form videos. Fair warning: Astra burns through tokens. For the quality you get, it's worth it. Resources: HyperFrames → https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes
