before you start building an electronics kit you need to decide which software avenuye you want to take. Mach 3, GRBLhal or linuxcnc. the controller you start with will have to match the system you want to use and you will want to build from there, you will need nema 23 motors (I think but I do not have exact measurements) with a matching power supply and DM556 drivers at a minimum. you will need an optoisolator bank( possible, but depends on your controller selection) and a relay for the torch. the easiest and cheapest solution is a Proma Myplasm which already has the THC built in. its not a commercial board but its costs 1/10th the pric and is a pretty solid unit.
