Q&A
Quick question: are there any plans for a Q&A thread for TC. I have an issue with the ruler that I need a hand with. I usually ask Aunty Google, but was wondering if i could get some wisdom here

For The Newbies!
Have you ever used any design tools before, or is this your first? What makes you want to try 3D design?

I've used OneCNC at work for very basic stuff, but I want to learn how to draw up DIY woodwork projects
Show and tell!
Post your FIRST design ever, no matter how simple. If you have never designed anything then post an idea for what you want your first design to be, bonus points if accompanied with a reference image. 😄

My first attempt, just used simple shapes. I need to add guttering to capture rainfall.

@Jeremy Hall I’m a sucker for learning new software
Saturday Post!
Good Afternoon, and Happy Saturday! Just a little curious to see what each one of you would like to learn from this community? and how many of you already have experience with 3D Modeling? I hope everyone has been doing well and I am very excited to hear back from you!

@Jeremy Hall ah, we use OneCNC at work and was allowed to play on it. OneCNC can’t be used remotely so I looked for something else and I’ve only just discovered TinkerCad so I’ll recreate my (almost) custom design across.

@Jeremy Hall thanks Mr H. We have a spare set around the factory that I’m sure I can borrow
First assignment.
Greetings everyone, the first task to complete is currently posted, it is a very simple assignment requiring you to create your own Tinkercad account (which is free). Once completed we will move onto our second course, Tinkercad 101: Learning the Basics. To complete this first assignment you just need to show proof that you have acquired your account. Thank you everyone and be ready to have some fun creating objects that can be used for 3D printing or for design purposes. Sincerely, Jeremy H.
