Same, I run a three node PVE cluster with Ceph for full HA since this summer. 2x MS-01 for a few VMs and many more LXC, the third node is an protectli mini pc with an Intel N100 (originally bought as my OPNsense HW firewall) which I mainly use for corosync.

@Spruitmans De spruit I suppose you don't really need a cluster. I for myself could easily host my stuff just on one host and utilise the other nodes for different purposes. However, I like the fact that I can move my VMs and container to a different host and do maintenance while services are still up and running. But then again I'm not a company and I don't require a 99,999% up time.

How to shut down all Proxmox VE nodes of a multi-node Ceph cluster
I heard shutting down a Ceph cluster is not just a matter of running poweroff on each node. I'm gonna have an electrician at home soon who proposed a 2 days power cut. Which means my HomeLab will be off for some time - no OPNsense FW, no DNS, no Jellyfin etc. I've found several instructions on the Proxmox forum as as well as on personal blogs on line, however, I wanted to reach out to the community to clarify the procedure and pick your brains so you speak and gain from your experiences. Anyone feedback on this topic will be much appreciated. This is what I basically found: Shutdown procedure 0. Disable HA 1. Stop the client VM and container from using your cluster 2. Issue the command ceph -s and verify that the cluster is HEALTH_OK status 3. ceph osd set noout 4. ceph osd set nobackfill 5. ceph osd set norecover 6. On each node: systemctl stop ceph.target 7. poweroff Bring the cluster back up Once the cluster has been powered up, the OSD flags that were set to protect the cluster from itself while it is being powered down and back up again must be unset in reverse order: 1. ceph osd unset norecover 2. ceph osd unset nobackfill 3. ceph osd unset noout 4. re-enable HA 5. @Brandon Lee a new oven caused our FI switch to dip a few times today and caused a power outage in our home which switched off the entire power incl. my office aka homelab. I was very surprised cause we've got photovoltaic incl. a decent sized battery which is supposed to act like an ups. However, it all went dark. Anyways, the proxmox /ceph cluster recovered w/ no issues whatsoever, except my Netgear switch acted up a little. After removing all cables and restarting it (first without wires plugged in) all came back up just fine. I've amazed about its resilience which I did not expect tbh.

At the moment the short answer would be No. In future, once I familiarised myself a little more about AI and how to limit its access, I properly would consider it otherwise.
