What AI Platform are we using?
Hiya Everyone, I find this whole subject of building devices via vibe code fascinating. I don't have any need or idea of what I want to build, so maybe I will build the flight tracker as my first? (I live not far from an airport) who knows... I just find it super interesting and would like a play. What platforms are people predominately using? I guess Claude Code needs a Pro license, which is £15 a month, is that what most people are using? Me: And I think everyone will find this astounding 😯, I don't use any at the moment, even though I work in IT. I guess I use Copilot a bit, but that is because at work everyone pretty much has it.

Hey! Yea Claude Code for me and Ive constantly blown away with what it can create. I have played around a bit with ChatGPT (Codex) which has the added benefit of image generation if you need that.
Sponsored Build: Fun Family Task Tracker/Sticker Book
1. The Idea: an interactive chores/task tracker that’s fun to use and beautiful too, you earn digital stars and stickers for ticking things off. I’d like to have interactive peeling and sticker sheets to collect that you can swipe to unwrap, with shiny ones as extra special rewards. It would also have a calendar for reminders about things like sports kits etc. 2. The Why: I want a fun way to help build positive habits for my son, getting him helping out around the house and giving him some independence. 3. The Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4 or 5, Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 - 7” or 10", microSD card and a 3D Printed Enclosure. 4. The Costs: About £100 - 150 5. The Experience: I have decent experience working with AI to build out vibe coded software, but limited hardware experience (1 build so far).

First build - nearest aircraft display
Hey all! I wanted to share my first build. It’s a display to show the nearest / most interesting aircraft based on my location. It also shows its speed, elevation and which way to look to see it. All coded up with the help of Claude. My parts list was… - ESP32 S3 Board - 64×32 HUB75 RGB LED Matrix Panel (3mm pitch) - 5V DC Power Adapter - 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack Screw Terminal Adapter - DuPont Jumper Wires I have since 3D printed a case to house it in - let me know if you have any questions!
