Hi @Reena Sifer Great question! Playing classic rock music, taiko drumming, and steel drum music can help bridge the gaps so that the spikes in the sound are smoothed out. The other thing to consider is that it could be more than just the thunder, as the barometric pressure can be a sign of the storm coming, and that anticipation can make her feelings even more drastic. If she eats kibble and its possible, soak her kibble in catnip tea and then freeze in a kong or other stuffable option. If you can get it to her prior to or early in the storm, she may be able to eat and self-soothe with the licking. You can mix the tea into her food if feeding fresh or raw as well. It's also a great idea to work on creating a sanctuary place for her in your home, a bathroom, a crate, or a laundry room where she can go and burrow to feel as safe as possible. I teach more of that inside The Familiar's Path. Hope this helps!
