Hello Mandourians! 💚 Arizona has become the first state to issue multistate cosmetology licenses through the Cosmetology Licensure Compact. This gives eligible cosmetologists a simpler way to work across participating states without applying for a separate license in each state. 📚 How many training hours does Arizona require? • Cosmetology: 1,500 hours • Esthetics: 600 hours • Barbering: 1,200 hours • Hairstyling: 1,000 hours • Nail Technology: 600 hours 💡 What should we know? • The multistate license currently covers cosmetologists—not separate esthetics, barbering, nail technician, or teacher licenses. • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements, including living in the state issuing their multistate license. • Professionals must follow the rules of the state where they provide services. • New Jersey is not currently a participating state. This is an exciting step toward more work opportunities for beauty professionals! 💬 If your license allowed you to work in more states, where would you want to work?
