Sometimes you don't know what your story means until you finally put it into words.
For a long time, I thought some experiences in my life were simply things I had to carry quietly. When I started writing , I realized something unexpected: Writing wasn't only about creating "a book". It helped me understand parts of myself I hadn't fully understood before. It helped me solve the problem about stop letting other people´s expectations to define your life. Maybe that's one of the reasons stories matter so much. We don't always write because we already understand the meaning. Sometimes we write because we're trying to understand it. I'm friendly curious: Is there something from your own life that you haven't fully understood until you started putting it into words?

As I mentally start to prepare to write my next book, which will be my story how I discovered and put to action the contents of my first book, I recognize how much writing this next book will be "therapy". It will likely open up doors I've avoided and reopen old rounds I previously thought were healed. I'm trusting my inner wisdom for the timing on this book, not rushing anything. I feel it's timing starting to rise to the surface, but know right now isn't quite the right time yet.
🎉 🗞️ GREAT NEWS! 🗞️ 🎉
So, behind the scenes my team and I have been working on my website and it's ALMOST complete! 😁 This will be for my business, The Storyteller's Path! But there's still something missing... I want to promote some of YOUR books on my website! Since you've been here in my community and I want to give you support, I thought this would be a great way to get more eyes on your books! If you're interested, I'd love for you to fill out this form. Then, I'll look it over and if it fits with the website, I'll add it! I can't wait to share my website once I have it live and out into the world! 🗺️ I know that you have published books! 📚 @Dr. Melissa Partaka @Shawn Helgerson @Elizabeth O'Carroll @Karen Sarmento I know there's a few more of you!!🔥

Hello From Jo-Ann
Hi everyone, I have been a writer all my life, dating back to grade 1 where I won a merit badge for 'There's a Lion Under my Bed' (My parents lost it and I would have loved to be able to read this over the years!) I am in Oakville, Ontario Canada where I live with my husband Joe, my two sons, Luca (25) and Aidan (20) and our beautiful dog Maverick. In addition, we recently sold our home and moved into my in-laws to assist them in their aging process, so safe to say, there is never a dull moment! All my writing has been for work, personal or clients and I am now stepping into my power to publish my first book- an idea that has been in my mind for over 20 years. The book is called 'The Waiting Room' and it is about a woman's complicated and estranged relationship with her bi-polar mother and a journey of love, growth, transformation, healing and all the ups and downs that come with it. The title is exactly where the entire book takes place- in a hospital waiting room as she works through the estrangement and choice of how to experience her mother's end of life. Looking forward to finally getting this out there in hopes that it resonates with those who have had complicated parental relationships and provides insight on how to not lose yourself in the midst of navigating what is not in your control. Here I go!

Sounds like a beautiful book that is ready to come into this world.
Hello! I’m a novelist and poet 👩🏽‍💻
Hello everyone! I have an MFA in creative writing from IU, so needless to say, writing is my thing. I have a number of short fiction stories published in lit journals and am currently at work on a novel loosely based on my grandmother’s challenging life in Rio as a young woman. It’s primarily literary fiction with just a touch of magical realism. I’m so close to finishing it, so I’m very excited and very motivated. I’m also a poet and have about 26,000 followers on Insta (@sol_poetria). I recently launched my own poetry community on Skool and host live workshops. I would love to connect with you! 💛

It was a Wonderful Cross-Interview Yesterday!
I really enjoyed our chat yesterday where we learned more about using our book as a stage topic and the benefits of doing it along with the hows! Thank you @Chris Hanlon! This was quite informative! And I know the ones who came enjoyed hearing about speaking on stage and about writing a book from me! Thank you and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the cross-interview. @Vasi Smith @Wolfram Grohnert @Dr. Melissa Partaka @Nikki Hillhouse AND, for the ones who missed it, we have it recorded. So, you can watch the replay here
