Aggression/Reactive
This is a first for us. My husband has been around GSP's his entire life and has always had one, well four or more. We have always had two in our home and usually they are velcro and the sweetest dogs. None of them have ever tried to nip/bite anyone, but our almost 1 year old tried to with our UPS man that has been around him for the past 6 months at least 2-3 times a week. Do we need to start back at the basics of the course? I want get a head of this and try and correct this behavior, but I want to make sure I am not going to make it worse.
It's puppy season and I am PUMPED to be going through this with you guys! 🐕
Quick question, how old is your gun dog pup right now? Drop the breed and age below. We're kicking off a full puppy series this incoming month and I want to know exactly where everyone's at. The content hits a lot different when I know what you're actually working with. More coming this week!

8 month old GSP. E-collar and continued foundation training
What's the biggest thing holding your training back right now?
Not a trick question. I'm not selling anything in this post. I just want to know where people are actually stuck. Is it time? Consistency? Knowing what to do next? A specific behavior you can't crack? Tell me in the comments. The more specific you are, the more useful the answers.

Barking at people/strangers walking by or neighbors out in their yard. I could walk to the mailbox or come out a different door and he gets nervous and starts barking at me

Biting! Few days of us exceeding the level of biting as well as losing our attention has paid off!
Win Thread – What Did You Train Today?
Keep this simple. What did you work on today? Heel? Place? Recall? Steadiness? Drop one thing below. Small daily reps build great dogs.
