This group exists so no one has to walk this path alone. Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable: - Your diagnosis or a loved one’s journey - What brought you here - Questions you’re exploring - Therapies or strategies you’re researching - Or even a photo — faces help turn stories into connection Every share matters. It helps others feel less isolated and strengthens the collective wisdom of the group. 📌 Post Categories — How to Share To keep the community organised and easy to navigate, please choose the category that best fits your posts: 📢 Announcements: Official updates from the Admin team. 👋 Introductions: Say hello and share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with about yourself and your journey. 💬 General Discussion: Cancer-related questions, opinions, discussions, and anything that doesn’t fit another cancer-focused category. 💡Research & Protocols: Research, studies, compounds, therapies, protocols, resources, and educational material. 📝 Journeys & Experiences: Personal stories, treatment experiences, progress updates, lessons learned, and approaches being explored. ❤️ Community Lounge: Non-cancer conversation — everyday life, pets, hobbies, humour, celebrations, and getting to know each other. If you’re unsure, don’t worry — just choose your best guess. The goal is sharing, learning, and supporting each other, not perfection. ✅ Start Here: Explore the Classroom

@Dana Greene Dana, welcome ❤️ I’m really sorry you and your husband are having to go through this, but you’re in the right place to ask questions and learn from others who have been through treatment. With head and neck radiation in particular, one of the biggest practical priorities is staying ahead of side effects rather than waiting for them to become severe. Hydration, maintaining calories and protein, meticulous mouth care, pain control, nausea management, and keeping swallowing muscles active can all become very important as treatment progresses. A few things I’d personally make sure you discuss with his oncology team early are: • A clear mouth-care protocol for radiation, including salt/bicarbonate rinses and what to use if mucositis develops. • Whether he should be doing swallowing and jaw exercises from the beginning, ideally with a speech/swallow therapist. • A nutrition plan before weight loss starts — head and neck treatment can make eating increasingly difficult. • What symptoms should trigger an urgent call, especially dehydration, inability to swallow fluids, fever, uncontrolled pain, or rapid weight loss. • Any supplements, herbs or repurposed medicines you are considering. Some may interact with chemotherapy or radiation, so timing and compatibility really matter. The community here has a lot of real-world experience, so please keep posting questions as you go. If you’re comfortable sharing the exact cancer type, stage, HPV status if known, and which chemotherapy drug he is receiving, people may be able to give much more specific information and point you toward useful research. Wishing him strength for tomorrow and for the weeks ahead ❤️ Bernardo

EMR-TEK Ultron Red Light, UVA, UVB, COB
My oldest son, the engineer, set up my Red Light therapy light, so I was able to get some sessions in this week. 3 of the buttons on the side are known by most, UVA, UVB, Red Light, but the COB button stands for Chip on Board, which must be a technical term, but it helps manage the light output. COB chip The lamp's concentrated light emission is powered by a 288W COB chip. It provides specific wavelengths in a balanced ratio and incorporates low flicker and low EMF technology for a soothing experience.

Before using Red Light Therapy (RLT), please consult your healthcare provider and review the latest insights from Dr. Paul Marik, who has raised concerns that RLT may, in certain contexts, promote tumour growth or support cancer cell survival — particularly when applied directly over active tumour sites or used alongside therapies targeting cancer metabolism. The evidence remains mixed and inconclusive, but caution may be warranted until more long-term human data are available. https://www.skool.com/cancerwarriors/sunlight-medicine-or-carcinogen?p=c5668806
Methylene Blue
Does anyone here have any experience with this? I just purchased it and a 660nm red light.

Red Light Therapy Also known as Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) and Photobiomodulation.
How Red Light Therapy Works The goal of Red Light Therapy is to expose a fair amount or a specific quantity of skin to a given wavelength of red light for a set amount of time typically from 10-60 minutes. The light enters the skin as a result of this exposure and provides therapeutic advantages by interacting with the cells internal mechanisms.
