How To Write a Movie Meeting this Wednesday
Every Wednesday this month, we've had some Awesome meetings, but this one will probably be the best yet as I'll be covering How to Write a Movie from Start to Finish! 🎬 We'll cover story structure with examples, and I'll be answering any questions you have at the end of the lesson! If you're new to writing movies or just want to a refresher, this is a good one to attend! Check the calendar tab to see what time the meeting is for you!

Top 10 Screenwriting Mistakes
If you couldn't make the live SSC meeting we had last month, I recently took many of the concepts we covered, updated them, and turned them into a brand-new YouTube video. While the live workshop included additional discussion, examples, and Q&A, this is a great refresher on many of the biggest mistakes I see new screenwriters make.

This was a very good video and learned a lot. I think my biggest struggle is with making all the characters sound the same. Can you give some tips on how to make the characters have voices that are more distinct?
🎬 Screenwriting Success Club - Success Stories & Introductions
Welcome to the Club! 🎬 If you're new, feel free to INTRODUCE YOURSELF below and tell us what you'd like to accomplish. I love hearing your goals so I can create meetings & resources that help you get there. If you've been a member for a while, SHARE THE WINS (small or big) you've had since joining the SSC. One of my favorite things is seeing members make progress on their screenwriting goals. Since launching the SSC: ✅ Feature films and short films by SSC members have been produced and released ✅ More films we wrote are currently in pre-production ✅ We’ve hosted live table reads with real actors ✅ Scripts have been requested and sent to production companies ✅ Members have completed full Christmas and horror screenplays in as little as 30–45 days ✅ Members have built writing habits, finished pages, and gained real momentum And this is just the beginning! Let’s document the progress and celebrate our success! : )👇

I completed a screenplay Paul’s Cross: a religious brother, desperate for money, places a long shot bet on his Catholic college’s men’s basketball team that receives an unexpected bid to the national tournament. I am also writing a ghost story movie with few characters that may be more sellable. Besides writing a catalog of screenplays my goal is to immerse myself in the screenwriting community as one way to learn the industry.

@Jordan Imiola I’m sure scriptreads.com will get it by then.
New Episode of Aaron and Abby's Adventures
Thank you to those of you who already watched it, but putting it here incase you haven't! Likes and Comments appreciated! I used many of the principles I covered in the Producing a Film workshop (now in the classroom tab) for June's "Make a Short Film in 21 Days Using Your Phone" Challenge. We had a lot of fun with this! And the Cheektowaga Country Club is a real place!
