For Wisdom Wednesday… here’s a little etiquette habit that can make a BIG difference 🎀 When someone asks you a question, pause for about 3 seconds before answering. It gives you time to fully comprehend, collect your thoughts, and respond with intention instead of simply reacting. That tiny pause makes you appear more composed, thoughtful, and confident… and can save you from saying something you wish you could take back! Do you already do this? THIS ONE belongs on the vintage bucket list. 💯 The Jazz Age Lawn Party takes place on Governors Island in New York City and basically turns the island into the 1920s for the day. People arrive in flapper dresses, cloche hats, linen suits and straw boaters... then spend the afternoon picnicking on the lawn with the Manhattan skyline in the background. There’s live hot jazz from full orchestras, a huge outdoor dance floor, Charleston and Peabody dance lessons and contests, vintage clothing vendors, artisans, old fashioned photo booths and even a display of actual 1920s motorcars. And honestly, the people watching might be half the fun. 😂 Everyone DRESSES for this thing. Bring a picnic blanket, put together your best 1920s look and prepare to feel like you accidentally wandered into a Gatsby party.
