I created an AI receptionist with Grok Voice 3.0
I built an AI receptionist on Grok Voice 3.0 and put it on my own website. Then I called it to see whether it could actually do the job. For the test I played Adam, a dentist who runs a clinic in Bangalore. Enquiries were coming in on email and Instagram, and he couldn't tell the real patients from the people asking general questions. He wanted to know if AI could sort them, how long that would take to build, and whether he should just hire someone instead. It answered from what I'd taught it about my services. Then Adam asked for a call at 3:30 the next afternoon. It said I wasn't free then, which was true, because I had a meeting. It offered three other times, Adam picked 4:30, and the booking landed in my calendar with his email on it. Then I tried to break it with four tests. I played crowd noise in the background. It still heard me and answered correctly. I asked for a price: "Is it 50 lakhs or 5 lakhs?" It wouldn't give a number, which is what I told it to do. I only price a project after a discovery call. I interrupted it mid-sentence, and this one it failed. It kept talking over me. I think my setup is part of the reason, since the audio goes through my server before it reaches Grok. Last, Adam got angry. He'd spent 5 lakh rupees on an agency that took 3 months and delivered nothing. The AI said it was sorry to hear that and explained how my work is different. But when I asked it how Adam was feeling, it couldn't tell me, so I still don't know whether it understood the emotion or only the words. I recorded all of it, along with how it works under the hood and how to put it on a real phone number. The video link is in the comments. If your business misses calls, which of those four tests would worry you most?

Not sure where to use AI in your business? Try these 4 easy steps
Most business owners think AI will change their business. Few can say where it goes. Think of AI as a new hire. You wouldn't hire someone and then look around for work to give them. You'd write the job description first. 1. Pick where the work happens: finding customers, selling, doing the work, support, or follow-up. Choose the one that's a bottleneck. 2. Break it into tasks. "Customer support" is too big to hand to AI. "Draft a reply to this email" is a task it can take. 3. Run each task through six questions: - Do you do it many times a week? - Does it follow a pattern? - Is the input already digital? - Can you live with an occasional mistake? - Does it need a human hand or relationship? - Can you check the result quickly? 4. Decide whether AI does it fully, or a person checks its work. In my own business, answering course enquiries passed almost every question. It happens all the time, it comes in on WhatsApp and email, and people ask the same things. It failed one: if the AI quotes the wrong price, I lose the sale. So the AI drafts the reply and a person checks it before it goes out. I walked through all four steps in a video. I also built a free tool that runs them for you and tells you what to hand to AI and what to keep. Links are in the comments. Which area eats most of your week? PS. As I said in my last post, I'm still building free first versions of AI products for businesses. If one of your tasks passed the checklist, apply soon, before this closes. To apply, comment below or DM me.

What shall I build for you, for free?
Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing great. Building with AI has changed my life. I was able to quit my job and make decent money. We've built AI products in the health care and corporate real estate sectors. And we want to explore more. Here's the deal: we will build a customized AI solution for your business, and we'll build the first version of the product for free. If it helps you, we can discuss further; if it doesn't, just give us feedback and we'll try to make it better. When I say "product", I mean an actual industry-grade software product built with code that grows as per your business needs. If this sounds interesting and you'd like to give us a try, just send me a DM here. Or even better, drop an email at [email protected] and I'll be happy to assist you there. It doesn't cost you anything to get started :) Thanks! Shahrukh
👨‍💻 Vibe Coding! Now anyone can code?
Andrej Karpathy introduced the world to Vibe Coding. With tools like Cursor, yes now anyone can code. But that brings some questions to the mind. 1. If you have never coded before, should you skip the "learning" and directly jump into writing code with AI? 2. Should you blindly trust the code that AI gave us? 3. Should you focus more on the speed of development rather than understanding the codebase? 4. If you are a developer, how often should you Vibe code? 5. Should you skip learning the basics, and syntax of a new programming language? Let's answer them here - 1. Now, if you are new to programming or have never coded before, I would definitely suggest at least going through the basic syntax of a Programming Language. Python is a good option. The good news is, you can do it inside of Cursor itself. Just use the Chat. Ask it, about the syntax. Ask it to elaborate. Ask for examples. Use Chat to learn the language. 2. Once you know the basic syntax, "do not" trust the code the AI gave you. And the reason is, there are several ways of doing a particular thing in coding. For eg. there are 2 ways to write a function to find the nth Fibonacci number, using loops, or recursion. You know what you are looking for, but AI doesn't. It's a good idea to cross-check what AI gave you. 3. Careless speed coding every time is like eating fast food every day. They have their repercussions. If you (blindly) rely on AI to code every day, your code base can eventually grow very complex. So complex that you've to spend hours figuring it out when debugging something. Do not sacrifice the code quality with speed. Understanding what you are doing is important. Small progress is better than making big progress that you don't understand. 4. I have a rule, you can Vibe code often, but not without reviewing the AI-generated code. Some give an 80-20 rule, but many developers admit using it 99% of the time. AI coding is the future. As models get more powerful, developers will eventually rely more on them. You should get good at coding with AI. But with caution. Understand what you write. Keep your code organized. 5. No, you should not. You should learn the basics. Nothing replaces our ability to think and come up with creative solutions. When coding with AI, sometimes you will hit a wall. And then you'll have to use your thinking brain.

👨‍💻 Vibe Coding! Now anyone can code?
👑 What makes Cursor the king of AI Code Editors
You already know about Cursor, the AI Coding editor. It’s interesting how quickly Cursor has become the most powerful tool in a developer’s arsenal. With $100M ARR in just 21 months, Cursor is now the fastest-growing SaaS …ever. But AI coding editors/extensions is a highly competitive space, with new VS Code extensions coming up and newer competitors like Trae, and Windsurf. It’s hard to be the winner. I’ve been using Cursor IDE for a while, and I love it. Here’s why I think it stands out (at least for now) - - A friend of mine canceled his Cursor subscription and got a thoughtful, well-written email asking for feedback. It was not like other automated emails you receive from other companies. There is one thing common in all successful companies - they care about their customers. - Besides all the cool features, there is their ability to understand what their customers need. Before the “Agent” feature, they only had the option to chat and edit the code. So, we had to add the files to its context for it to give the best results. And then they launched “Agents” which I think is the single most powerful feature of Cursor, being able to access our entire code base and perform required actions. I’ve had instances when Cursor Agent would complete my code using a utility function that was there somewhere in my code, and I had completely forgotten about it. - Besides the above customer-focused stuff, they have a very robust set of features. See the attached image/PDF for a list of features taken from their website. How has been your experience of using AI Coding Tools? Do let me know in the comments below 👇 PS: I help companies develop AI products. I provide custom AI Software Development as a service. If you or someone you know might benefit from my services, do let me know :)
