OIL & GAS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY – FY2026 Results Review
Current Price: ~328.80 | Dividend Yield: ~5.2% 💰 Dividend Announcement – Record High The Board has recommended a final cash dividend of Rs. 6.00 per share. Combined with the interim dividends of Rs. 11.00 per share already paid, the total dividend for FY2026 stands at Rs. 17.00 per share – the highest-ever dividend announced by the company. The dividend will be paid to shareholders registered by October 8, 2026. Share transfer books will remain closed from October 9 to October 16, 2026. The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for October 16, 2026, in Islamabad. 📊 Financial Performance – Strong Across the Board OGDC has delivered an exceptional FY2026 result with higher production, revenue, profit, and – most importantly – an exceptionally strong improvement in operating cash flow. Revenue: Revenue from contracts increased 12% to Rs. 449.19 billion from Rs. 401.18 billion – solid top-line growth driven by higher production. Profitability: Gross profit increased 6.5% to Rs. 246.76 billion from Rs. 231.61 billion. Profit after tax surged 42.9% to Rs. 242.37 billion from Rs. 169.60 billion – the biggest headline from the earnings statement. Earnings Per Share: EPS jumped 42.7% to Rs. 56.35 from Rs. 39.50 – a significant increase in per-share profitability. 🛢️ Production Increased Across Major Products The operational performance is particularly encouraging: - Crude oil / condensate increased 6.3% to 11.99 million barrels - Natural gas increased 2.3% to 243,523 MMCF - LPG increased 4.4% to 244,656 MT - Sulphur increased 59% to 14,526 MT So OGDC's operational production profile improved across oil, gas, LPG, and sulphur, with particularly strong growth in sulphur production. 💰 The Real Story – Exceptional Cash Generation This is arguably the best quality aspect of the result. Net cash generated from operating activities increased from Rs. 40.83 billion to Rs. 160.55 billion – an extraordinary improvement of 293%. The company did not merely report higher accounting profits – it generated substantially more actual operating cash.

Buy Low Sell High Strategy With SIP - Practical Implementation
I have watched @Laeeq Ahmad Bhai video titled: Buy Low Sell High multiple times. Based on the presentation I really liked this strategy and it suits me as I don't have much time to invest. I can start investing with this plan and would like to implement practically for my case. I would like to combine this strategy with SIP. I want to simulate returns with SIP based on data actual historical data, how can I do it? Buying Stock Market and mutual fund is easy, but buying Fractional Gold and physical US Dollars is most of the times is not possible. As Exchanges demand US visa for this purpose. I can buy gold from Meezan Mutual fund but it is not open to invest most of the time. We can not buy Gold on Spot price in PMEX. Do you know any other way to buy gold safely? Rather than buying physical USD can we buy it in any Exchange like Binance. Is it legal to do transaction on Binance? Thanks, this might help others as well for actual implementation.

Great to see you moving from theory to practical implementation, Saad — that's where real learning starts. Here's a practical breakdown of your questions: 1. Simulating SIP Returns with Historical Data You can use the updated SIP calculator by Sarmaaya that already integrates historical PSX benchmarks . It models returns based on the PSX 5-year CAGR (~32.6%) or the more conservative 10-year average (~7.5%), removing the guesswork and grounding your projections in actual data. Simply input your SIP amount and see potential outcomes. 2. Buying Fractional Gold You're right about the Meezan Gold Fund being closed sometimes. This happens when physical gold isn't available through PMEX . But here's a practical alternative: Fasset has launched Pakistan's first SECP-approved gold tokenization solution. You can buy digital gold tokens backed 1:1 by physical gold, starting from as little as Rs. 100 . It's regulated, transparent, and you can even convert tokens into physical gold later. 3. Buying Physical USD Without a Visa Buying physical dollars from the open market is now heavily restricted in Pakistan. The SBP requires account-to-account transfers for foreign currency purchases, and cash dollar sales are limited . You can still buy USD and deposit into a FCY account, but it must be done digitally with full documentation. 4. Using Binance in Pakistan Yes, but proceed with caution. Binance has received preliminary regulatory clearance from Pakistan's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority and can now work toward a full license . However, the licensing regime is still evolving. A new licensing portal has opened, and existing crypto firms must apply for a no-objection certificate by September 2026 . You can use it, but stay updated on the regulations and avoid large amounts until full clarity emerges. My practical suggestion: - Keep your SIP in the stock market as your core strategy. - Use Fasset for gold exposure to hedge against inflation. - Avoid physical USD unless you genuinely need it for travel or education. Instead, consider opening a Roshan Digital Account if you're overseas.

Buy back your time!
Elon Musk doesn't have more time than you. Same 24 hours. Every single person. So how does he run five companies at once? He bought other people's time. Every employee at Tesla, SpaceX, and X is working so he doesn't have to. You can do the same thing without starting a company. Buy shares. Every business you own has people showing up, working, and generating profit. You get paid without lifting a finger, through dividends or share price growth. That is buying back your time. Most people trade time for money their whole life. Wealthy people flip it. They use money to buy time instead. On Sarmaaya.pk we help you find companies worth owning, so they can work for you. Buy back your time. - Laeeq Ahmad via Linkedin https://lnkd.in/p/d9Wfn2UX
Powerful reminder – buying shares is buying someone else's time, energy, and skills. Elon didn't build Tesla alone. He bought the time of thousands. And you can do the same.. one share at a time. Every dividend, every capital gain, is someone else's hard work paying you. The wealthy don't just earn money; they earn time. Investing isn't just about wealth... it's about freedom
