Reflection
Today marks 24 years since I was diagnosed with a blood disorder. I have now officially lived 24 years without a diagnosis and 24 years with one. When I look back and think about everything that has happened over those years, I sometimes find myself asking, “How did I get through that?” Honestly, I don’t have an answer. What I do know is this: I may have a blood disorder, but the disorder doesn’t have me. It never has and it never will. There were times when I never thought I wouldn’t make it to my wedding day and I never thought I would become a mum. Yet here I am, 24 years later, incredibly grateful for the life I have been given. To all the people I will never know who have donated their blood and plasma for patients like me the words thank you will never be enough. Your generosity has helped give people like me more days, more memories, more milestones and more life. ❤️🍷

Beautifully said. What an amazing attitude ❤️. My cousin also has a blood disorder and he like you is kicking goals. 🥂
LOOKING FOR FEAR
After 40 years on stage, I had a problem. I wasn't scared anymore. No nerves. No butterflies. No shaky hands before I walked out. Some people would call that mastery. I called it numb. I felt flat. Bored. Stuck. Like the thing I believe is my gift had gone quiet inside me. So I went looking for fear. I asked myself one question: what's the most terrifying thing I can imagine doing? The answer came fast. Stand-up comedy. So I signed up for a course. The graduation was a "tight 5": five minutes, one microphone, a room full of strangers, and nowhere to hide. And there it was. The fear. I became the scared little girl again. Heart pounding. Wanting to run. You might think that I look confident, because you will compare me with if you had to do it - but the truth was - I was terrified, wanting to burst into tears, and feeling absolutely raw and vulnerable. But this time I knew something young V didn't. If I pushed through, I'd come out the other side stronger. More resilient. With a new skill in my pocket. But I had to do it! I kept thinking to myself "how will you feel tomorrow if you don't do this?" I don't want to stand still anymore - I need to keep moving - even through fear. Here's what I didn't expect. Comedy was always my hiding place. When I felt unsure or embarrassed, I made a joke. Make them laugh, and they won't look too closely at you. On that stage, the joke couldn't hide me anymore. It had to show me. That's what fear gave back to me. My heart. And a clearer look at myself. Here's the research: your body can't tell the difference between scared and excited. Same racing heart. Same sweaty hands. You get to choose the word. I'm sharing this video because I believe growth is only real when it's witnessed. Doing it in private wasn't enough. I want you to see it. I have published it publically today on Youtube for the first time. So here I am. Not polished. Not perfect. Just in it. Now it's your turn. What's the fear you've been walking around? What would you have to do to push through it. Tell me in the comments. Say it out loud. Let us witness it.

You know me, I’m not very confident getting up infront of a crowd to talk. I get hyped up on what to say then I lose train of thought quickly. I’m getting better. When I know my topic and am passionate about a certain topic it’s not problem, but anything new I get scared and my words get all mixed up. Having said that, I’m definitely not scared to be the first to get up on a dance floor. 😬🥂
My Relevance
To see the need, be the help, and create belonging through kindness.
Today the doors change. You were here first. 🪞
Today is the day. From today, new members join The Relevant Human at $49 a month. But not you. You walked in before there was a crowd. Before it looked finished. Before anyone could tell you it would work. You said yes anyway. Of course you did. You're Gen X. We're the generation that rode our bikes until the streetlights came on. We made it home with no phone and no map. We worked it out as we went. Starting before we're ready is in our blood. So you're here free. For life. That was my promise, and I keep my promises. Here's my second promise. I want to give away so much value in here that you'll wonder how it's free. And anyone joining today will feel like $49 is the best money they spend all month. This is what we're building together: ✨ A weekly live catch-up where we take one real problem and solve it through connection ✨ Guest speakers on starting a business, money beliefs, finding your North Star and more ✨ Hot seats for anyone who wants to do something but doesn't know where to start ✨ From Spinning to Winning, our signature workshop for getting every plate in your life back in the air ✨ Real-life catch-ups: park potlucks, walking groups, and a seat at my gigs ✨ A place where we celebrate every win, big or small And a room full of people who see you as brave, whatever the outcome. To my first adopters, my supporters, and the ones ready to lead the way: thank you. You believed in this before it was visible. I don't take that lightly. I see you. I appreciate every single one of you. Now I need you to do what Gen X does best. Lead. Post. Comment. Welcome the new faces like the new kid at school. Show them what it feels like to finally find your people. So grab a pencil, rewind your favourite mix tape, and turn it up. 📼 We're just getting started. Ready or not, your time is now. V 🪞

Time to create your Gen X superhero pic❤️
Use the prompt below in your AI and follow the instructions. SHARE IT HERE❤️ 🦸 WHAT’S YOUR GEN X SUPERPOWER? I want you to discover my personal Gen X superhero and then create a spectacular retro comic-book poster of me. This should NOT be a generic superhero. Your job is to understand enough about me first to identify the qualities that make me powerful, the things I care about, what gets under my skin, and the kind of impact I naturally have on other people. Do not assume you already know me. If you have useful context from our previous conversations, use it — but still check that it accurately represents me. If you don’t know much about me yet, that’s completely fine. Interview me first. STEP 1 — ASK ME THESE QUESTIONS Ask me these questions one at a time and wait for each answer before asking the next. 1. MY STRENGTHS Give me 4–5 words or short phrases that describe what you believe are your greatest strengths. If I struggle, give me examples to help me think — things like resilient, funny, loyal, courageous, creative, resourceful, compassionate, determined, independent, adaptable, connector, problem-solver, leader, encourager. 2. MY KRYPTONITE Give me 4–5 things you struggle with, dislike intensely, or find difficult to watch happening to other people. These can be personal weaknesses OR things in the world that really get under my skin. 3. WHAT PEOPLE COME TO ME FOR What do friends, family or colleagues tend to ask you for help, advice or support with? 4. WHAT I BELIEVE Finish this sentence: “One thing I really believe about people is…” 5. MY IMPACT When someone has spent time with you, how would you like them to feel? 6. MY GEN X HERO Who was your favourite superhero, action hero, TV hero or fictional character from the Gen X era — roughly the late 1960s through the 1980s? Tell me what you loved about them. If I can’t think of one, suggest 5–8 recognisable characters from that era and let me choose. 7. MY FUNNY KRYPTONITE What’s one completely unserious thing you have very little resistance to?
