🎯 THE INTENTIONAL ATTENTION CHALLENGE
You can get a lot done and still finish the day without touching the thing that matters most to you. You answered messages. Handled requests. Solved problems. Kept everything moving. But the project, decision or personal goal you wanted to focus on is still waiting. When you’re capable and reliable, there is usually something, or someone, ready to claim your attention. This week, choose one priority and allocate a specific block of time to it. It could be: 🌱 Twenty minutes working on your own business. 🌱 Fifteen minutes at the gym. 🌱 Half an hour preparing for a difficult conversation. 🌱 Ten minutes reviewing your finances. Make the appointment clear: “On Tuesday at 10:00, I’ll spend twenty minutes drafting the first section of my proposal.” Before you begin, decide: • What exactly will I work on? • What can wait until this block is finished? • What do I need to put away, close or communicate to protect my attention? Give yourself a clear stopping point too. You don’t have to finish the whole project for the time to be useful. Then notice what happens. Do you settle into the task, or feel pulled to check messages, help someone or do something easier? That response is worth understanding. Sustainable performance includes being intentional about where your attention goes, alongside how much you get done. 👇 Share your appointment: 🎯 I’m giving my attention to: 🗓️ My allocated time: 🚧 What I’ll put in place to protect it: Afterwards, come back and tell us: what did you notice when you gave this your attention?

🌿 IT’S THE WEEKEND… HAS YOUR BRAIN BEEN INFORMED? 😂
Following our conversation about capability and capacity, I’m curious: What do you actually need from this weekend? 🛋️ REST — a slower pace and fewer demands. 🌳 PLAY — something enjoyable with no need to be productive. 🤍 CONNECTION — time with someone you can be yourself around. 🧹 SPACE — clearing one thing that’s been taking up too much room in your head. Working this weekend? This still counts, even if you only have a small pocket of time. Drop your emoji below. If you feel like sharing more, finish this: “One thing I’m making room for this weekend is ______.” It doesn’t have to sound impressive. A walk, a laugh, an uninterrupted cup of coffee… what would feel good for you?

@Tamzyn Wegrostek One thing I’m making room for this weekend is watching anime with my son 💪
👻 WHAT’S STILL HAUNTING YOUR HIGH PERFORMANCE?
An old belief. An automatic habit. An expectation you’ve never questioned. Sometimes the things draining us are so familiar, we barely notice them. They might sound like: 💭 “I should be able to handle this.” 💭 “If I slow down, I’ll fall behind.” 💭 “I can’t let anyone down.” 💭 “I need to feel ready before I start.” 💭 “I’ll rest when everything is finished.” These ghosts can follow us into work, training, relationships and the quiet moments when we’re trying to switch off. Maybe being the person who always coped helped you through a difficult chapter. Maybe saying yes brought opportunities. Maybe preparing for every possibility helped you feel more confident. It makes sense that those patterns became familiar. But are they still helping you now? Being capable doesn’t mean you have unlimited capacity. And an old expectation doesn’t automatically deserve a place in your next chapter. This week, let’s give one of those ghosts a little less say. 👀 🔍 AWARENESS What thought or habit keeps showing up when you’re under pressure? What does it push you to do? 🔋 CAPACITY What is that pattern costing you in energy, focus, recovery or connection? 🧭 STRUCTURE What small change would help you respond differently next time? For example: 👻 The belief: “I can’t let anyone down.” 🔁 The habit: Saying yes before checking whether you have the time or energy. 🌱 The change: Practise saying, “Let me check what I can realistically commit to and come back to you.” You don’t need to banish every ghost by bedtime. 😂 Start with one you can notice and one different response you can practise. Finish this sentence in the comments: “The ghost I’m giving less say to this week is ______.” If you’re comfortable, share what you’ll try instead. 🧡

🎙️ WHEN YOU KEEP DELIVERING, WHO SEES THE COST?
A capable person takes on another priority. The work gets done. From the outside, it looks like there was capacity. But what made room for it? A longer working day? Less recovery? Another priority slipping? Someone else picking up the slack? Before our next live, think about the last time you agreed to something extra: What absorbed the cost—and was that a conscious choice? Share an example below, or leave a question you’d like us to explore. Keep names and details private if you prefer. In our next From Insight to Action conversation, Elan and I will be discussing: CAPABILITY IS NOT CAPACITY Why strong people and teams still become overloaded. We’ll explore what delivery alone doesn’t tell us, how leadership and systems shape workload, and where we need to direct our attention before saying yes to more. 📅 Wednesday, 30 September 🕐 13:00–14:00 SAST 📍 Google Meet Bring your perspective, a question, or a situation worth examining together. You’re equally welcome to listen. 👉 Join the conversation: https://meet.google.com/txu-ccwm-tdw
