Client Payment
Hey ya’ll! How do you handle clients being weird about paying a deposit? I have a new client who scheduled a pedicure with me. She stated that she was having difficulty using my booking site. I entered her in manually and sent the deposit link. After the 3rd reminder, she stated she doesn’t enter numbers online. I offered other payment options like Venmo or PayPal where I do not have direct access to her info. She still refused. Would you still go through with the appointment or cancel it? My gut says cancel it’s a huge red flag. But my head says you are new and don’t want to piss of potential clients. I need options please!

@Yana Firman Thank you! That’s what I was thinking. It’s common to require a deposit. I just paid one for my haircut coming up at a major salon. And the fact that she started that she was having difficulty with my booking site and not that she didn’t want to pay the deposit was weird to me. I just need to remember that not all money is good money.
OKAY GIRLS… IT’S HAPPENING 👀💕
I’m officially planning our first live webinar!! 🥹💅🏼 I want as many of you as possible to actually be there live, so before I choose the time, I need your help. I know we have girls here from the US, UK, Australia and all over the world 🌎🤍 So tell me in the comments: Where are you from + what time on Friday would work best for you? 👀 For example: New York 🇺🇸 3PM onwards I’ll look through all your answers and choose the time that works for most of us 💕 And yesss… I’m already getting everything ready for you 👀🤭

Social media, Timing, and Clients
Hello all, I have graduated and had my manicurist license for almost 1 year now. I’m attempting to start my own home based salon. I don’t feel I would do well in a large salon setting. I’m attempting to post and use social media but I’m having a hard time finding content since I’m not seeing a lot of clients yet. I’ve run a few ads but they go places that are too far away even when I’m using the local zip code features. I’d also like to improve my speed and prep. I focus on gels vs acrylic since I’m based from home. I’ve included pictures of my set up. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I WANT TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOU GIRLS 👀💕
Okay girls, I’ve been thinking… I really want to start doing live webinars here in the community where we can actually sit together, learn, talk and I can answer your questions properly 🥹🤍 But I don’t want to just choose a random topic. I want it to be something YOU actually need right now. Or maybe you’d also love a little cozy Matcha/Coffee Time sometimes? 🍵☕️ Just us chatting about nails, business, clients, life… literally anything 🤍 So tell me 👇 If you could have me teach ONE thing live, what would you choose? Technique? Lifting? Structure? Clients? Pricing? Social media? Anythingggg 👀 And would you be up for our little Matcha/Coffee Times too? 🥹☕️💕 I’m reading every comment because I mayyyy already be planning something 🤭✨

For me it definitely social media and attracting clients. I’m starting my own home based salon. I’m starting to get a few clients here and there. I’ve done some paid ads but they don’t seem to go where I want them on FB even when I select the zip code.
