What has helped you increase engagement in your Skool community?
I run a paid community for self-publishers. It includes courses, resources and a weekly live coffee chat, but the community feed is still fairly quiet. At the moment, most posts come from me. They receive a few likes and occasional replies, often from the same supportive members. I realise it's still early days, I have around 30 members so it's not a big group yet. I would love the community to become a place where members share their own experiences, ideas and encouragement and not just me posting. Has anyone successfully changed this dynamic in their community?

@Brenda Rigney @Brenda Rigney That was soooo helpful, Brenda. Thank you so much! I’m looking at my About page through a completely different lens now, and everything you said made so much sense. I know I’m still at the beginning with only around 30 members, but I want to steer things in the right direction now and build the right community culture from the start. The advice from you and all the lovely members in this group has been so valuable. I’m very glad I asked the question, as I was a little hesitant to post it at first. Perhaps that is exactly how some of my own members feel about joining in too! 😊

Feeling a bit stuck and could use some encouragement
Being honest here because I think that's what this place is for. Lately I've been feeling a bit lost, no website yet, not fully sure what my offer looks like, and some days it feels like everyone else is miles ahead while I'm still figuring out the basics. I know everyone starts somewhere, but some days it's hard not to feel behind. Would love to hear how others pushed through this stage, or any advice on where to focus first. Thanks for being a space where it feels okay to say this out loud 🔥

I can relate to this so much. Even after being in business for several years, I still have days when it feels as though everyone else knows exactly what they’re doing and I’m still figuring things out! What we see online is usually someone else’s progress, rather than all the uncertainty and changes that happened behind the scenes. You’re not behind. You’re simply at the stage where you’re working out what fits you and the people you want to help. I would focus on one small next step rather than trying to build the whole business at once. You don’t need a website before you can start talking to people, understanding what they need and shaping a simple offer around that. The clarity often comes from doing, not from having everything worked out beforehand. And being honest enough to share how you’re feeling is a positive step in itself. ❤️
